I went over my cap of 20 GB's so put it up to 30 and finally 35, only costs me $1 per gig so it's all good. With xnet, really good ISP.

Yes! I'm going with xnet as soon as the xtra broadband plan expires

Mate, I'm in Torbay just up the road.

Congrats to all who've contributed to the New Zealaners thread. Here's to the next thousand posts!

I've traded in my 1 GB data plan for the iPhone plan with data + browsing on the free wifi at Uni, but since it's holidays at the moment and I'm still coming to grips with Safari on the iPhone, I'm a little isolated ATM.

The iPhone has a few bugs which can be eradicted by the 2.1 software update but its a 238 MB download(!) which will take 5 hrs to do at Uni so I'm scratching my head over what to do about that one. I'm gonna try some rellies but 'cause you need iTunes 8 to synch with, I need to attach my laptop to their network... I can forsee ongoing problems here because update 2.2 is on the way.

Thought I'd stick a few shots I took yesterday up here. I was really surprised that so many nice cars were freely available to look at in little old Christchurch! I got to see (and hear) the F430 and the Gran Turismo running which was amazing.

Anyone know where to get a cheap brand new W880i from? I know Dick Smith did a clearance on them a while back, but their prices are back up at $500ish for some reason.

The reason I ask is that my girlfriend is very interested in it after seeing it in the Vodafone store the other day. I would let her have my W910i, but I know that if I do, I'll find it broken in half within a week. She is quite clumsy with phones and things. So yeah, looking for a W880i. Anyone know?

Yeah I tried that yesterday in the hopes that it would come up with a cheap non-import price but it didn't. I don't think we're too keen on going through the hassle of getting an imported one if we can just go to a shop and buy one.

But I guess if we don't see one for cheap anywhere soon, we'll have to take that option anyway.

Thanks mate.

Oli, Im bringing one back with me from here in 4 weeks. I won it in a competition from SE (Along with a w890 too) and wont be needing it (I already have W610, K810, K850, C902 - and all going well an X1 in a few weeks) so your welcome to grab that cheap? If your keen I will let you know more. SE are delivering them to me next weekish. All unlocked and unbranded brand new in box. Probably look at $250ish? Let me know and I will tell you more soon.

EDIT: Am unsure about how warranty would work but will try to find out.

@JiSm: That sounds great mate. Not sure if I'll take you up on the offer just now as I have to check with my girlfriend first! But I'll definitely let you know soon if we're interested! Cheers!

Yeah its 997MB, so a fair chunk of your monthly internet allowance. Though if it's 10GB now, you've got an extra 4 to play with. I just checked my xtra account and it still says 6GB. Any idea why it isn't 10GB? Did it say a date that it would start being 10GB?

yep it said the 6th of october and you get uncapped on the date you signed up for broadband (for me its the 5th). Anyone capped when its the 6th will automatically have their cap extended to 10gb. and also there now making it unlimeted upload aswell as download

Edit:
Heres a scan of it:
