I have noticed that, there are days when I have to turn the phone off and on a few times, doing so I really got less battery time than normal.

i think the shutdown/startup sequence does drain the battery a lot. but there are other factors here as well that might constitute a battt from being discharged faster.
like, if your friend says his battery lasts longer, maybe it is his usage is vastly different.
he might not use the vibrator mode, but u do. he might not use wap or play games or his talktime usage might be vastly different. its hard to compare battery performance based on other people's experiences/word of mouth.
and colour screens drain the battery so much faster than the older monochrome ones, so u can't compare batt performance to older models.

I've noticed, when batt is full, booting does not affect the indicator. But generally i'm seeing the batt is depleting fast :-(

A month min. Charge it til the batt is full, never disconnect plug before. Once in a week let the batt drain til almost empty, but dont let the fone turn off by itself.

@ayush then charge it as u did until now. These batts are all individual, li pol are unstable, performance depends on charger, the fone, way of charging, even temperature etc etc etc
