Sony Ericsson S700 discussion |

I have a few questions:
1)What I still couldnīt figure out: Is it possible to play some *.mpeg movies on the SonyEricsson S700 which I had copied from PC to phone? Is it POSSIBLE / NOT POSSIBLE at all or is it only a question of the resolution of the videoclips?
2)Now, Iīve got a Nokia 6600 and want to copy my *.3gp videos to the S700 (if itīs finally outside... SE, please accelerate, i canīt even wait any longer!). Does they work on the phone?
3)(Maybe) @ BengalBoy: Is the fotolight useful or not? Is it very bright?

I wonder does the Japanese version of this phone have the same problem of not showing full screen video? I hope they realise that it is a stupid restriction and i hope the delay in its release is to fix that problem. |

has it been delayed already? SE said it will be released in the 4th quarter and its only the 3rd quarter. even if they release it in december 2004 it still wouldn't be delayed.

I think the problem is that the screen has got a 320*240 resolution and videos can be recorded only in 174*144 (?) I think, so the quality would be bad in full screen because they would be stretched. |

i can`t wait for the s700, with all these great pictures and reviews.
i am in an even worse place than you others i think: the s700 is available to me but i do not have enough money
if i had money i would have it in one day, i have to get some money fast!!!

Hi guys just thought i'd tell you all if you didnt alrady know, that o2 has scheduled this phone for release on the 21st of September! i.e 12 days away! |

Then they should include an extra program for viewing larger resolution videos or at least make one available. |

Hi Peeps!
A Newbie here, so be gentle....
Been browsing through the vast pages of this thread and I too will be getting a sim free S700i when they`re avaliable.
My question, a simple one at that, is :
Can you use mp3`s as ringtones? For some reason this is a major plus for me, as we all know how pants the polyphonic tunes are...... I can`t find anywhere on Sony Ericsson`s web site that says you can or you can`t......
Secondly, just out of curiosity, how are people getting there S700i`s before any release date...........Do you have to be in the know!!!!!!!

yes u can use mp3 ring tones (onlly vodaphone branded wont be able to)
IM getting one when it comes out
