Friends of mine went into one of the old Ericsson buildings in Stockholm. I will see if I got some pictures from inside. Kinda cool place and quite scary all empty and many many holes. So it's a suburbian climbers dream

Dear ESATO members,
The constantly refreshing of the /// thread turned to hard for me. I visited in the last month thousands of sites to present u the amazing, colourful and interesting history of the three stripes. 75 percent of the pages are closed, tried to collect what i could found. Its possible thet i posted sometimes a recommended site twice, cos i couldnt store the already visited ones.
So my /// database excists only here on ESATO. I asked for help in several se offices all around the world, they sured me by it, but it will take time, maybe in the autumn first.
Unfortunately my web access was always limited. Got no pc home, have to manage the thread at my workpalce. From today on i have more limited access, so it will be more complicated in the next future.
Many members supported me in this mission, thx for all of them. I am proud that i was able to create this thread, hope it wont get lost. I asked for @laffen for a sticky, hope he ll support my question. Its not me, more the thread we managed together is worth for it.
Dear ESATO members,
Thank u very much for the many visits and posts, i ll keep on of course with the uploads, but a bit slower than usually. Thought, u should be informed and u are worth to know the current situation, especially if we manage it together.
Thx for your attention,
Yours sincerelly, @bobafett
Hail /// !

OK - So I used to work for Ericsson at the Daten Park Software Aplications Laboratory in Warrington. Here, Ericsson developed the R380s smartphone.
One day we were all given jackets. Here are some pictures of these:
You may also like to look at some of the antics we got up to at Daten Park.
I'm selling this jacket now (it's on eBay - a link is in the marketplace forum) as I've never really worn it, and my house is so cluttered with junk thtat some things have to go. I've got a few more bits and pieces of /// memorabilia, I'll find these over the next few days and post pictures on here. |

@bart
More info on the GS-88. Codenamed 'Pamela' it was based arround the Geoworks operating system, GeOs. The aplication software was developed at SAL in Warrington, but the project was cancelled days before release. As your picture shows, the manuals etc. were all ready. Several people at SAL used these as their telephones, as they had a very good office handsfree feature, and flight mode. Both these things were dropped in the R380 - but as we know came back in with the P8/900. |

hey,
any idea why ericssson made so many versions of the t28?
was it due to the popularity? and do u have any idea how many versions there were? did they have the same features with different looks?
thanks

Forgot the colours, sorry: black, grey and beige, dark blue was aswell, but i saw it as t28 world edition. It was the first fone with voice features (dial and answer) and li-pol battery (bus10 500 mah - standby time ca 60 h - and bus11 600 mah - standby time ca 72 h) its aerial could be used on r320 and r520 aswell. Next to r520 and t68m the most original fone made by ///. Do like the flip counter feature in it, unfortunately the malaysians had worse quality the the swedish ones, especially the keypad.
