you know how you get the serial number with HL. When you go online, that transforms into an individual ID (aka wonID)
and on certain leagues and stuff, you have to declare your wonID.
and you can only be in one clan... so with two IDs i can be in two clans!
so basically im breaking the rules
nevermind

latest bargainshite update - the ****'s
Firstly we would like to apologise for the recent downtime on our server network, the servers that were effected were servers 1 & 3. Please read this notice only if your account is on server 'one.bargainhosts.co.uk, IP 80.71.2.74' and server 'bargainhost3.bargainhosts.co.uk, IP 80.71.2.58'
This message has been sent out to our customers regarding the problems, but if you have not received it please read here first before posting a support ticket on the helpdesk system, also please do not send emails to any address on BargainHost as we cannot respond to emails.
We are not pleased with the length of downtime on these servers that were recently compromised by a Hacker Group who managed to gain root entry and post anti-war slogans on most of our customers websites, they used a self replicating script that would eventually deface every website on servers 1 & 3. We discovered the script and quickly removed it from root, but there was about 200-250 accounts already defaced. Although we managed to keep Cpanel security software up to date with automated nightly updates we were unaware that the hackers who defaced the websites were still at work and vandilising our servers internally.
We were to carry out a routine upgrade on the servers last week by installing the latest version of kernel that would plug any vulnerabilities, all that was required was a simple upgrade to kernel on our systems with minimun downtime of about 2 hours. Although we managed to successfully upgrade servers 2,4 & 5 the downtime was minimal (about 2 hours). We did not have as much luck with servers 1 & 3, on further investigation we found files that were impossible to delete and all kinds of strange code. This was now to involve a clean install of Redhat Linux 8 on these systems to wipe all the destructive work that hackers caused, this work could not be carried over the bank holiday weekend as we did not have an engineer available until Tuesday.
To make matters worse all local backups were unrecoverable GREAT NEWS on these servers after Linux was re-installed, we spend the next few days recreating about 3000 customers accounts manually. Unfortunately this means that we are unable to restore customers websites to what they were before, this is why it is advisable for our customers to make their own backups as backups are not an option for any customers on Budget accounts. We only keep backups of customers sites on new yearly packages, this does not cost extra.
If you have not done so already you can upload your site to your account and configure emails etc. from your Cpanel, if you have kept a backup of your site you will be able to restore website from Cpanel also. Those that are having problems logging in please send a request to our helpdesk and one of our techs will gladly help you. HAVE DONE 4 DAYS AGO
All this downtime was thanks to hackers, we will not be beaten by hackers though as we have made many changes to secure our servers. Some of the steps that we have taken to secure our network involved installing a Cisco network firewall, the recent upgrades to servers Kernel and update to Linux Redhat will keep the script kiddies at bay.SHOULD HAVE DECENT SECURITY IN THE FIRST PLACE Also we will not allow Telnet/SSH access to any customers no matter how much you beg, even trusted users will not be given this privilage due to the vulnerabilities in SSH, so please dont ask, sorry. DONT WORRY I WONT BE
We have employed the services of a security company who will maintain maximum security, they will monitor the servers and investigate any strange behaviour plus keep our security up to date with latest patches. PROBALY THE MAFIA KNOWING THESE JOKERS
Our support staff have been under undue stress because of these problems, can you imagine trying to deal with 200-300 requests a day, WELL F*CKING SORT THE PROBLEM QUICKER we have been hit hard this week and there will be some delay on responding to support depending on the urgency of the matter. NO EXCUSE A polite message to our helpdesk with your problems will help to speed up your responce.
Thankyou for taking the time to read this message and also thankyou for your understanding, I DONT UNDERSTAND U TOSSERS!! THATS WHY IM MOVING TO A PROFESSIONAL OUTFITwe realise how much this downtime has effected our customers as we feel your pain as well. YEAH RITE - U WILL FEEL IT IF I EVER MEET U
Best regards,
IT Manager: James Innes.
they are a bunch of arses! where's the compensation for the downtime?
