From Sony website specs, the P has only 16Gb internal memory and seem to have no expansion slot... One more thing, its back looks like Xperia Ion.

I quite like the xperia ion, though I would hope they would scrap the 4 touch buttons on the bottom when bringing it to other markets outside the US, I'm guessing this is unlikely?

It's a shame that they didn't use unibody on the S, I see no reason they didn't other than maybe to keep costs down.

For me, as a new user P would be ideal, but as an Arc owner the P isn't enough of an upgrade from the Arc. The S for me has more going for it spec wise.

P is lovely thou, wouldn't be surprised, if priced right, it will be Sony's biggest seller.

Not that fussed by the U (too low end) and the international Ion, the latter being too big for my liking.

Rog, the changeable colors on the strip of Xperia U and the 3D sound on Xperia S is a software of hardware thing? Do you think it would be able to be ported to Xperia S?

And speaking about porting and such, do you know anything about unlockable bootloader?

more than Xperia S

Well, minus 0.5 GHz in CPU power, and minus 4 megapixels in camera

But for me too, the P comes closer to the ideal phone than the S.

Totally agree, Xperia P is a true iphone competitor!

Hey rog, Xperia U, u8500 or u5500?

Official site states 1Ghz Qualcomm dual processor.

Well, minus 0.5 GHz in CPU power, and minus 4 megapixels in camera Oh, and minus 500mAh battery capacity. But the smaller screen combined with the WM display will flatten that out.

But for me too, the P comes closer to the ideal phone than the S.

S is to big for me it`s simple as that
Also I prefer aluminium body and better sunlight visibility instead couple of Mpxl and GHz more.

SD card slot it`s not on my preferences so it`s not a decisive factor... but still gorgeous display on Xperia S can get prevail in the end it hardly depends on how good White Magic is ... I have 3 months to decide.

I still rate the Arc's display, very good imo.

P does impressive me, just wish they had upgraded the camera to 12mp, I expect it will be the same module as the Arcs.

Did they confirm 1GB ram? If so, even with 1ghz dual core this should be pretty quick.

Nightblade, I think the P only has one speaker on the side. The other side has the exposed HDMI & USB ports.

You're right. I didn't look closely enough.
