You are correct about Symbian sucking, even the Symbian 3 on the N8 with multi touch is way behind everything else. Its too dull and nothing innovative.
About Satio's replacement, no idea at all. I heard about a 12MP Android but it could be a dream or another failed project.  seems to cancel more phones than release. My source uses a Twiggy, he says its the best phone in a long time but that's a failed project as well.
About Windows, are always late so end of 2010 or early 2011. Bloody Microsoft have caused many cancellations like the HTC Trophy which is something that many are waiting for.
No idea about much these days but the iPhone is very nice indeed, not as good as my Desire but desirable in its own right. Guaranteed mega success. |

Hmm....and here I was wondering when we'll have the Android 2.1 powered walkman in vivaz's design...this does change things a bit.

Sony Japan are just about to launch an ultra mobile device which might give us some clue as to what is coming next from the collaboration. No details as yet though.

This is actually pretty old news. Sony is going to take a greater interest in the development of this device. It's going to be a touchscreen smartphone with some sort of PS integration for playing games.

Symbian does suck and thats why I just cannot make up my mind which phone to get... Think I will wait until SPB brings out the new mobile shell (also working on Symbian and Android) and check out how well that fares on the Vivaz Pro. If you want a Qwerty in a compact design choices are slim at the moment.
Does the High end market really only require 4 inch touchscreens at the moment? Even HTC hasn't produced a proper qwerty phone this year? I mean whats up with that? Is everybody waiting for Windows 7? And why the hell is nobody producing Adroid Qwertys (X10 mini don't count  )
I know me ravelling on must be annoying, but I am just trying to find out what is going on in the minds of the manufacturers.
Badassmam, you usually have some slick information of future phones (not only SE), anything in the pipes? |

I am a bit confused by the Vaio mobile device. I know the brand is strickly Sony and the author mentions Sony and SE in a confusing manner, at least to me that is.
Would this be a Sony only initiative or is Sony letting SE use the Vaio brand in their next phone?
I just wish people coul differentiate better between Sony, Ericsson and Sony Ericsson.

this 'ultra mobile' device is probably some sort of netbook/tablet, or something along the lines of a refresh for the Vaio P/X series... highly doubt its going to be a phone...
