New firmware R1FA035 is available through SEUS.
You will notice a new firmware update interface in SEUS.
It doesn't tell you anymore the firmware version, but only your CDA.
Be careful 'cause now it removes all user data and settings. Actually it really flashes the firmware completly (like davinci) and doesn't' just update it like before.
This can actually be a good news for people suffering from BROD with their K850i. They can really reflash it compeltly |

Does the new firmware deletes the entries in the phonebook too? |

Yes it does erase all the contacts so save them on the M² before. |

Does anyone know which bugs have been fixed on the new firmware? And what exactly does it delete?

ok, I've got a silver one here now and I definitly prefer the mocha
Hmm seems the biggest dilemma for people on here is which colour to get!
I can't decide between silver or mocha. Thanks Masseur for posting pics of both side by side. Never considered a brown coloured phone before but I like that it's different it's also £10 cheaper than the silver one (from what I've found anyways).
Is the silver handset like that of the silver k800i? Brushed effect I guess most people would say.
I have a c702 at the moment but think I fancy something a little different, even though camera is better on this one, size wise it's a little bigger than my trusty w810...I still can't seem to find a phone as good as the w810 IMO. |

I replaced my w890 with a t650.
I think beside hsdpa. There is nothing i miss.
My main problem with w890 was network. |

I agree about the reception on this phone is very poor. Its very concerning when I hold the handset I can see a big dip in the signal.
What is more annoying for me is that I keep having problems with the bluetooth signal cutting out duing calls its very random, sometimes it can happen 2 or 3 times a day, then it might be fine for the rest of the week. I have 2 bluetooh headsets, both sony erricson models and it still happends. Its a right pain. I wonder if that is a problem for anyone else or is it possible that I have a faulty handset? |

Is this reception problem to do with the design of the phone (aerial/casing placement)?
Or is it to do with which country people are in? Cos I know dropped calls is probably a bigger issue in the US than in the UK (either that or I've been really lucky with my phones and network). |

I had a chance to open mine.
Yes the problem is the placement. They place the antenna where you hold the phone while you on call.
There plan was to have the whole cover working as an antenna but somehow that doesn't work.
An the phone network is good if you in a high receiption area. |

Here's a list of most of the bugs/faults of the phone:

Cheers TeenInvader...after some deliberating I've decided to opt for the k770i as it has AF and slimmer than my w810. Did check out the mocha version of the w890i in person looks very nice but camera is more important for me. |
