the modules for bb maps will be loaded but they wont work which is a pity as the camera will now Geo tag your pics!
Facebook will work but isn't reloaded as Themarques has pointed out! anyone using Empower HTML will find it also wont work and neither will BB's native HTMl viewer anticipated in this release, but fear not it will all come together eventually!

I'm going to hang on for the final release then, I'd rather have it all working in one go

You might as well, this version though esthetically nice the signal drop out is reminiscent of my T-mobile v N95 connection (hence why I switched to o2) but otherwise when it is officially out its going to rock.

Does anyone here know for sure how much Blackberry would cost to add onto my Flext 25+web and walk plus tariff on T-Mobile?
I have asked T-mobile and had three different answers:
1st: We can activate it tonight and it is free on my tariff
2nd: You will need to change to flext 25 +web and walk plus with blackberry for no extra a month but it wont happen until my next billing date 3 weeks away.
3rd: basically the same as the first but it will cost an extra £5 a month.
I may try again in the morning and see what they say.
Just thought that I would try again to see if I can get a consistant answer and got told it would be £7.50 this time. Do these people know what they are doing?

@jcwhite_uk
I was told that its £5 if you have web n walk or £10 to add it on top of any tariff, if you dont have web n walk
So i pay £5 as i have web n walk.

I have Web and walk plus. I presume that should be £5 a month too. It just seems stupid that from 4 different phone calls, I have had 4 different answers.

Just came back from the pre-taping of "The Hour" with host George Strombolopoulus here in Toronto. The live show airs later tonight I believe with the inserts of this mornings pre-taping. Guess who I went to see?!
Jim Balsillie!
The dude looks younger in person, and it was very cool to see him still nervous in front of a small, more intimate audience. If I figured out how to correctly take pictures (that were NOT so dark, let alone video) on my K850i (not much practice yet) then I would've. I did try to take an audio recording but I'm so PISSED at this phone I could throw it against the wall right now. If you press the red hangup button it dis-regards the current recording! What kind of stupid shit is THAT!
Anywho, I was hoping to see the 9000 being flashed but unfortunately he brought the 8820 (usually the 8320 is his main device). I wonder who's in charge of managing his emails on the number of devices he carries around - email duplication must be a nightmare as the server must be tricky to set some emails as read and some not when switching devices, unless he has many email accounts which are mirrored. Hardly any talk about RIM at all, as most of the questions where about his other endeavors (Hockey, philantropic installations, etc). However his passion is Hockey but not necessarily looking to purchase a team in Canada but as long as it falls in line with what his focus in that passion is. He forgets about tomorrow, and keeps an eye on the future, but lives for today and focus' on today when it comes to RIM.
There was a statement that he made that kinda shocked me but I think he's not letting anyone know more about. He mentioned that RIM's portfolio is not very diversified and its focused on the device & service. Its Go or BUST; almost to paraphrase him. I have a feeling its more than that given the home server application: BlackBerry Unite!
If you can catch the show later, then give it a peak; it's not a bad interview show, like nothing you've seen before. Also Jim's bouncer looks devilishly HUGE!!!!

Main screen> Options> Security Options> General Settings. Click on menu key and select Wipe Handheld. CAUTION: this'll wipe the devie CLEAN of all data (Memo pad content may still remain but not likely): Contacts, calendar, customized profiles, emails: ALL!!!!
