I'm not too keen on internal GPS. First, operational time with currently available batteries would be extremely shortened.
Second, TomTom is currently unable to make use of these internal GPS that exist in you know which models
Third, it is ergonomically more convenient to have the GPS sitting on the dashboard under the window whereas the screen could be where I can see it better, these two don't necessarily coincide.

Also consider that perhaps in 6 months there may be Sirf IV GPS devices, now tell me how you can upgrade
P990i: A mistake, a curse and a disgrace So I lowered my expectations and settled for a P1i. I couldn't keep my expectations so low for a long time so now I have an HTC Touch HD

I've been trying to follow this thread but it moves way too quickly. I am a P990i user and would like to know if the P700 has the following:

Some notification for missed calls and messages, something like a icon on a standby screen or a flashing LED

A button on the side to pause/play mp3s.

Thanks,

Ash

My P800 still serve all basic functions as a PDA phone and go strong. The "Digicam" and "4096 colour" are from another world now, but I can live with those. Keep this babe right and it will outlast newer phones.

LOL...... the buyer of your phone won't be to keen on seeing that photo!!

(You know that I always do that with my N73 too, letting it fly and then bounce back on the cord. )

Swivel is dead for this year at least! No swivel, no market for it and not really a decent form factor for SE. They stick to candybar, slider and clamshell!

P700i is real and M610i does not exist. I got the name wrong.... And it was mentioned that it would not come...... There is another device based on UIQ with a flip. Thinner than P990i and its real successor. Not for this year I presume and not ready yet. Looks like to be more in the direction of next year!

So P series fans rejoice, the flip design was not abandoned, like i was expecting My P990 will do fine untill its true sucessor is out
