Hello dudes, I've noticed this problem with my iMac since i got it but i've learned to live with it but now is pi**ing me off!

Whenever i try to access a secure site such as banking, or bills etc the connection will slow right down and the page takes age to load and then sometime won't load???

I can browse other pages at the same time as the secure page is loading so its not my network connection.

Can anyone help??

Can't say I've ever noticed that on any of my Macs... Which browser are you using? Is it all secure sites, or just some?

If you're using Safari, try Firefox and vice-versa. If you're using Safari, try the "Reset Safari..." command.

Is it an Apple Mighty Mouse one with the little ball?

If so, there's probably some dust, fluff, dead skin(!) etc. blocked inside which needs cleaning out.

There's various methods for cleaning it. Some work better than others:

I've tried relaunching the finder and it didn't work, will try the reboot once my download has finished been wiating ages, my speed fluctuates from like 0.2kbps - + 100kbps and it is rather annoying. Do you think it may be better using transmission rather than aquisition?
