@ Francois and others who have connections here,
As of midnight Saturday 24/3, we lose daylight savings and thus we have had to adjust every clock and watch in the house forward by one hour again for the Summer.
Thus there is only 1 hour's difference in time between the 2 countries now. Just something to take into account if you're phoning etc to anyone here.
We only revert back to daylight savings for the Winter in late October again.

A good match but not particularly hard-fought. When Mrs.K came into our bedroom grinding her teeth and mumbling some really colourful words long before the end of the match i promptly switched the radio from the commentary on Radio2000 to a music station...
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious.

UK online retailer 'The Link' is already offering free PS3's on some of their mid-to-higher Orange network contract tariffs:
http://www.thelink.com/martprd/editorial/free_sony_ps3_deals

Just goes to show, once again, how much people get @$~#ing ripped off by networks if they can 'give' these £425-odd machines away with their 18 month contracts, even if it is the mid-to-higher tariff packages...

786KBR has been awfully quiet of late on all the forums...haven't heard from him in about a week.

celltech: I know you read this thread. Have you got your hands on a retail version N95 yet? Any other phones currently undergoing beta testing?

Braaing/ barbecueing seems to be getting greater universal appeal...even acclaimed metal figurine manufacturers Hinz & Kunst are now cashing in..

Just finished watching 'Crash' ...EXCELLENT (i think it should have won best film from 2006)
The movie handled the topic of 'racism in present age' very well.
Excellent story and screenplay, acting and background score...and it kept the pace from the beginning till the end...the star cast was perfect for the movie.

Myself being a young doc from a developing country,i had a plan to migrate to USA for better opportunities.I dumped that idea after it conflicted with my career interests. After watching this movie,i don't think i ever want to go to USA.Also,i just hate the gun culture.

Windows Mobile 6 out end of second quarter this year.Jesus.cant keep up with technology. You just get .something and its outdated before you know it.Ive been on the recieving end of that quite a few times in the past before I learnt to do my homework on the item about to be purchased.Bought the Sega Saturn years back.3weeks later they released Playstation.Bought the Nokia 6680.1month later the N70 hit the shores.ect ect Theres a couple more examples but Im to embarassed to divulge them with you.Im sure some of you have also made a couple of hasty decisions due to impatience or lack of research which left you pulling your hair out afterwards.

@ doc,
Haven't seen Crash yet... tell you what was one of the worst though: Miami Vice.
Now I grew up watching the original series on TV, with that unmistakable soundtrack etc., but the movie adaptation last year was nothing short of pathetic IMHO. What an absolute waste of a few hours of my life that was.

Off topic, have you guys noticed how has varied the styling on the back of the housing of the W660i, with the 'rose red' deliberately having accents to appeal to the fairer sex, compared to the LP-stlyed circles to 'suit' the colour and deliberate style of the 'record-black' option...:

So as of a few minutes ago, India are also officially out of the world cup. There was the remotest chance that, should Bermuda somehow topple Bangladesh, and if the run rate wasn't that high, India could've theoretically still made it.

Incredibly, who would've thought that Bangladesh would be going through to the Super 8's and Pakistan and India not...?

@HOBBS, that's always the case with technology, so I've learnt to choose the device that best suits my needs at any given point of time. This way, even if a newer gadget comes out, I'll know that I don't need it since I've already got what I need. It was this way with both my K750 as well as my notebook. I got both of them a pretty long time after they were out (6-12 months is a long time for technology). I'm still really pleased with them even now, despite the onslaught of new phones and notebooks.

@wanqa, that's a keen eye you have, and I think SE has got it right this time. Both colours look attractive and I believe they look appealing to the targeted crowd.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Thanks HOBBS, you have a bril one yourself.

Yeah, I remember when I got the Nokia 7250 in 2003, literally 3 months later it was surpassed with the updated 7250i.
Deluded's right though, one needs to choose what'll work for one's specific needs and then try not be wooed by the latest n' greatest-driven media directly after that. Otherwise we'll be forever kicking ourselves.

I'm not saying don't ever upgrade, hell no, but obviously the point is that if we endeavour to keep up with the frenetic pace of having the latest n' greatest, which changes literally every few months nowadays, be prepared to have really deep pockets to try and 'justify' the expenditure (LOL...) or allow ourselves to become miserable for not having the financial capacity/ means to keep up...

I wonder how many Nintendo Wii's and XBox 360's will be finding themmselves on eBay now that the PS3 is finally available, even though these 2 other consoles are excellent and have their own disitnctive features and advantages...

It won the Oscar for the Best Film of 2005. Have to agree, it's a brilliant movie and tackles the issues racism quite well.
