As a rule, if it is an Adam Sandler movie, no matter what, it is first a comedy then whatever else.
So the cell c shops were closed when i got there. did find a cell shack and raided them for fliers. it is the e250, and it does look okay. my sister will get a list of what is available, then we will decide what it will be.

Not a romance movie type of person myself, but there have been a few such movies that I felt were worth every bit of my time, one of them being 50 First Dates and another being Lake-House. Oh, I just hit my 500th post this afternoon! Heh... Maybe it's not a big thing, but hey, it does mean something to me. After all, I've been telling myself to only post constructive comments and have avoided flaming or posting just to increase my post-count. So hopefully that means I've posted 500 sensible comments in a great forum, or at least a portion of that number.

Heh... Thanks guys, and no worries, HOBBS, it's just a matter of time, I wasn't posting too regularly, it took me about a year. So 2010 is definitely more time than you need.

Hello SA!!
Wow...so movie discussion going on in SA thread also!!
'50 First dates' was poor in my opinion.there have been better adam sandler movies like 'Big daddy' which was his best.
Some of the movies i saw lately..the departed(wow) and the prestige.both were nice.

These were taken tonight with the N73, in the park down the road. A bit granular on some due to the low light conditions, but nice enough effect and compositions, IMHO:

@ doc,
Methinks Virender Sehwag read your comment in the Indian thread and decided to pacify his critics by scoring his first century in about 2 years the other night..
BTW, what about that other high-cringe-factor Saddler movie, Meet The Parents, and its sequel? Funnily enough, it was the very first movie that Mrs Amawanqa and I saw together...her first words to me after that movie were, "My parents aren't like that..."
Sigh, she's precious.

Remember this controversial SA cricket tour from the '80's? :

EDIT: ..and after Pakistan brushed aside Zim tonight, Ireland are effectively into the Super 8's!

Yup...hope He read my comments All now depends upon India Vs Sri Lanka. That would be a match to watch out for.
Btw, 'Meet the Parents' and 'Meet the Fockers' had Ben Stiller in the lead role not Adam Sandler

@da krypsta: Probably the Star Wars trilogy but couldn't make much sense of it at the time and watched it again as a teenager on VHS.
@da wanqsta: Brilliant article. I always found it strange back in the early 90s how black West Indians could be playing when sport was still so divided in this country.

@ doc: Doh! My bad... well I guess that shows I'm still very much at the 'apprentice' stage of becoming any form of Hollywood guru... ; pehaps there's a greater chance of Sehwag hitting another century in this world cup than me reaching that status...
Thanks for correcting me.

@dr_thug, the departed is based on a Hong Kong trilogy, which I've watched. It was a very refreshing idea, and it was especially remarkable, coming from Hong Kong. I have not watched The Departed, but from what I've read, it is a little different from what the original scriptwriter and director had in mind. I suggest that anyone who's interested and willing to bear with reading the english subtitles, watch the original, called Infernal Affairs.
