stupid of them to blame woolmer for a team that has always been unpredictable....sad though.
hey i dont know if i'm delayed, maybe it's been said already but it seems vodacom has taken note of us esato ppl.just read the vodacom magazine earlier and there's an article about esato and specifically the forum for picture uploading....esato should hopefully be more popular to rest of SA ppl after that mention.i mean it's always nice to have more opinions here.

Damn that's a nice plug from the people at the Vodacom magazine. I doubt they had anything to do with mentioning Esato. The editorial is largely independent from Vodacom. But glad to hear that more South Africans will be finding this site. A lot of them already stumble upon it looking to de-brand their Vodafone-branded phones.

Well, the Cup certainly seems to be delivering its fair share of surprises, if nothing else. Meant to catch the IronMan Triathlon this weekend but simply been too busy. Have a great week folks.

Im taking my P990i to a Vodacare to get the generic SE software put on and the Vodafone software banished to hell.Vodacom have issued all Vodacares to do this as Vodafone software makes P990i a very unstable and unhappy phone. |

Oh yeah, I did see that mention of Esato in the Vodaworld magazine...got a picture of it, might post it later.
Hope we get some new friends here after that!

@HOBBS, are they doing this for free or are you supposed to pay for the debranding? I personally feel that they should offer the service for free, seeing that its their firmware that screws the phone up in the first place.

Hi ya'll! Been scarce but u know what they say! Was wondering if any of u know if the email feature on W810i works? Do i contact MTN to set it up and how much does it cost? And will the synchronization feature mess up my phone? (I use groupwise)

@medusa: You might want to check with your IT Department at work whether POP3 access is possible. If it is then all you have to do is ask them for the mail server settings and set it up yourself. Or you could ask one of the brightsparks in the department to set it up for you, remember to approach them like a a Damzel in distress
Personally I've got Gmail set up on my phone but it's sporadic at best and pathetic at worst when it comes 2 fetching my mail off the Gmail servers.

Thanx Brix! I'll check with them but i doubt it cause of the firewalls. Didn't even think of it... will give the email feature a miss then! Thanx again! |

The debranding is free of charge.Vodacom policy for the P990i. AND I use the Gmail application and have no problems with it at all.Its pretty fast when you have a 3G connection.Have no problems with it. |

UK supermarket juggernaut, Tesco, are now flogging their remaining stocks of Samsung D600 for 61.65 (approx R865), when bought with 20 airtime.
The W300i is going for similar money.
