All the questions don't really matter now, maybe PK had one of the view different designs for new P, they certainly NOT test just one design. And since we have no info about anything (or even a good leak) everything can change. Like features, hardware etc.
BTW I think this time SE tries to keep things really secret, doesn't it?? |

true, very true!
 don't want any info leaked on the net and are being very very strict and i have 1st hand experience in this matter. Before i had no idea the implications on releasing pictures on pre announced products but now i do!
If i was to post a picture on Esato or anywhere i would've been fined heavily and lawyers on my backside, which is something i could do without However, still get to play with new devices which i can't really complain about

one good thing about this thread is that it gives SE an idea of the interest people have for the p5i- over a thousand posts.Not bad at all for a phone that is yet to be announced. |

the post count of this thread most certainly does not reflect its quality, so I wouldn't read much into that
but your general assertion is correct. we always want the next thing but in some ways thats sad because it can also mean we are not happy with what we have now. Following that logic through will suggest that when we do have the P5 we will also again not be happy and thus looking for the next thing
one day we should just enjoy what we have here and now

if you read the first post it says 15th November (i.e. tomorrow)
if you read the last couple of pages to catch up on latest happenings you will see that any further announcement this year is in doubt
I've reopened this to see if we can have sensible discussion but it will be closed again if people continue to repeatedly ask for pics when PK has said over and over that he cannot post them
please will members take time to catch up with the thread before jumping in as we're looking for more quality in this thread now

most of you have probably read here at the blog according to Sony Ericsson themselves there won’t be any announcement on the 15th, where the P5 was supposed to be announced.
And I know why. There’ll be some ‘major hardware changes’ (sorry, I can’t and won’t go into details - yet!) in the P5 causing a delay of both announcement as well as release, which should now be later than earlier expected.
Other than that I’ve received some informations about the design as well, and it sounds very nice (won’t be able to post this either, but the materials can be found in earlier SE phones). The keyboard, however, still remains a mystery - will it be a sliding QWERTY, as some have said or will it be completely different? Well, am not so sure, because both are being used in prototypes, but nevertheless it will be something new (for Sony Ericsson at least).
