Does anyone have any idea if Nokia will be releasing any new 8 series phones? Ie the newest phone that followed the 8810, 8850, 8910, 8910i series? Becasue these are great phones and i would really like one with a camera and loudspeaker.

Its about time they released an updated handset to this range in my opinion!

I thought that the 8290 was the US version of the 8210? Basically i want a Nokia Vertu but the damn vertu onl works on 1900 and 900Mhz. No use for ORange or O2, and i use Orange!

Posted by johnmcl7
What do you mean no use for Orange or O2? No use for Orange, but fine for O2 which is a 900Mhz network. Also, they said the 8920, not the 8290.

Yes, I have some very good idea about it...

Hello I think the premimum phones are not vertu and no other premium phones will be out apart from vertu

Posted by JiggyJaggy
You would say that seeing as you have a Vertu I really want one but they dont work on 1800MHZ, so i went and bought a 8910i instead.

Yes. I actually hope there wonīt be a camera! Strange thinking? I donīt think so.. i am repeting myself here from the other thread, i know, but consider this:
What Nokia models do you remember best and respect the most?
The feature packed bells and whistle ones?
Or the classy and timeless 8****īs?
Stick any number of pointless features on it and it will just grow ho-hum that much faster.
A paradox, but i believe itīs true.

i dont think thats right , coz i cant imagine such a phone without bt these days . i think all the new platforms has edge , so it might have it also . my thought.

there are some features which have remained the same for the last 6 years or so such as bluetooth and which are important for everyday usage, others such as cameras and 3g are no more than contemoray novelties which change in quality and definition over time. I still use my 8910 for smart occasion where my p910i looks bulky and actually quite cheap. wereas the 8810-8910i range have always looked classy even when they are 2yrs+ old.

Posted by JK
very nice

its because its made with titanium and holds its price very well therefore only for the select few..and a little rare, like a ferrari in some strange comparison!!:)

i use mine (8910i)for those special ocasions like weddings and stuff.. but if you have a phone like that and people get interested by it..
it should have some special features i think...
