I like that you can change the housing. Yellow is my favourite

Posted by Marly
Afaik, you'd have to change the backplate, when you want to use the wireless charging "Fatboy".

Posted by Guarulhos
Wireless Charging "Fatboy", No Doubt It Is a Great Resource !!!

I doubt that, you just can't compare Sony's 2012 ugly crap with the Lumias, Samsung Galaxy or HTC One Series.

PS: I'm not really into Metro and Windows Phone, I don't like them, but the phones are just cute.

There is one thing that confuses me. Reviews say that there is one shell for wireless charging. Why, and, are wireless charging shells available in all colours??

Posted by Bonovox
From what I have seen yes they are in different colours. I have seen many videos & they show yellow, red & cyan.

Posted by hihihans
Bono found some info:
High Gloss Colours: Red, Yellow, Cyan, Purple and White

Matte Finish: Grey and Black

Wireless Charging Shell : Matte finish only, White, Yellow, Black, Red and Cyan.

Ruggedised Shells: Matte finish, yellow, orange and green, all with a black trim.

Hi,

I am new here to this forum. My name is Zariah Foster. I live in US and currently working with Cellhub.I am here to learn and share my views with other people.

Nokia Lumia 820 is an Excellent phone with excellent features.

Welcome
Due to it's size and the changeable covers and the microSDcard I prefer 820 over 920. What I would really like is a music-dedicated >4" wPhone8 B-)

Posted by rikken
I prefer 820 over 920 too

Posted by Bonovox
It is an excellent option. It has the same 1.5ghz and 1 gig ram as 920 and even has SD slot but just doesn't have the HD screen. But that's of no bother to me

Through Of His Official Blog The NOKIA BRASIL Confirmed The Launch In "Lands Brazilian" Of LUMIA 820 For The First Quarter Of In 2013 (More Precisely 20 February 2013), In Colors Black And White !

I love this phone in yellow.

Posted by Bonovox
Yes these were shots of 820 & 920

Posted by Del
I am so tempted to get the 820 I think this may well be a bit better than the 920 in the long run especially with the removable battery and expandable memory, I'm just not sure about making the jump from android and the Xperia s.

Posted by hihihans
just go for it Del.
most flaws in 7.5 are fixed in wPhone8.

Ha ha, yep I'd love to, just got to talk my wife into letting me spend some money lol
Seriously though I think I'll wait for some reviews first.

Posted by Bonovox
Reviews are mostly personal opinion,I read them but I make up my own mind even if they slag it off I may still buy something. Only thing I won't do is be an early adopter anymore until many bugs are ironed out.

Yep I here what your saying bono, I've done that with my last 3 or 4 phones and have suffered the bugs so I'll wait for some real user reviews.

The one thing that worries me about the 820 though is the 1650 mah battery, the battery on my xeperia s is 1750 and it's pants.

Posted by hihihans
Another thing with user reviews is that you only hear the complaints, people who are just happy don't tend to stand up and shout at the world.

Posted by Bonovox
Well, the 920 one review has said the battery is fine lasts a good day. And one said the opposite which is why I will be not getting too early. I have not seen many full reviews of the 820 as yet. The 920 has a 2,000mAh battery and the 820 lower but you will see batteries come out from Mugen power no doubt. My Lumia 800 battery is excellent now on latest firmware so it is a good sign.

Posted by hihihans
Battery lifetime depends on thousends of things.
My lumia lasted 284 days on one charge, right after I adjusted the date

Posted by Del
Oh yes I know battery reviews are very subjective but for me I have never had any sort of good battery life with the xs so I'm hoping that the 820 will be better, or maybe the 920 ?

Posted by Bonovox
Played with a live working 820 today in O2 store. Really nice beautiful screen,I look forward to seeing the HD screen on the 920 now. Nice feel to the phone played with OS and camera resizing the tiles One feature I love

I should be getting a black one, but I won't be getting it until next tuesday now all being well.

Funny thing is I went in five different phone shops today and not one of them had a wp8 demo phone so you could see wp8 running, all the assistants told me was they couldn't break the seals on the boxes, great way to sell a phone :*)

Posted by Del
Well I finally managed to play with a live one in cpw at Bluewater today and all I can say is WOW smooth, fluid, great screen and the one photo my wife took looked good to, so much more smooth than my xs, I'm sold, can't wait to get mine

Posted by Bonovox
Cool, enjoy And yes Windows phone 8 carries in the fluid UI from WP7. Something Android doesn't have across the board. I really liked the 820 and I also like the design of the slightly boxy design of the US version the 810. I need to start saving

Posted by etaab
I got to play with this phone today in CPW. I was very impressed. The build quality felt like it was a completely solid block of plastic. UI was nice, very fast, very impressed.

Welcome back Nokia. And to think, the 920 will be even better.

Posted by Bonovox
Review of the 820 here. It seems though like the 920 too the camera is not the best in daylight which I think will be fixed soon

Well I've had my 820, black model, for a couple of day's now and I have to admit it's a great phone, takes a little getting used to coming from android but at the moment it's working great.

It managed a pretty decent 40h in GSMArena's battery test:

Yep, you have to give it a few charges first though, I'm on my 3rd charge, came off charge this morning at 6.30 and as of now it's at 92% and that's with loads of Facebook, twitter and browsing
