This app requires your phone to have an Android OS 2.1 (Éclair) or 2.2 (FroYo),
some issues regarding its functionality were encountered with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
You should also have a Prepaid Subscription for this to work. Just install the Opera Mini and configure.
I made this run on my Android Galaxy S i9000, non-rooted. 100%working s'ya sa Smart and Globe Networks..
Note: The steps are patterned with my phone, a slight differencemay be seen with other android devices and operating system versions.
Step 1. Setting Up Your Access Point:
goto >> Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> Mobile Networks >> Access Point Names >> press Menu >> create NEW APN
Key in the following for your respective network operators:
Code: Select all
Smart subscribers
Name: Smart MMS
APN: mms
Proxy: 10.102.61.46
Port: 8080
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,supl
Code: Select all
Globe users:
Name: myGlobe Connect
APN: www.globe.com.ph Proxy: 203.177.42.214
Port: 8080
Authentication type: None
APN type: default
Activate the Access Point you have just created.
! APN Type for Samsung units is internet+mms or internet.
Step 2. Enabling Your Internet Connection
Your airtime balance must be PhP9.00 to PhP1.00 (preferably p1so) for Smart
and PhP4.00 or below (preferably zer0 balance) for Globe.
goto >> Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> Mobile Networks >> check Data Traffic >> tap OK
There must be a GPRS, EDGE, 3rdGeneration, or HSPA signal on the top of the screen together with the uplink and downlink arrows.
Step 3. Opera Mini Configurations:
Download First Opera Mini 6.5
download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?02zbuzns6zqzupx then install it and put the config.
