phone tried to mail empty mms non stop

hi, just thought that I should ask some people who knows about phones more than I do. I have a HTC Touch Cruise (polaris) which was bought around summer 2008. on the 6th day after the purchase, the touch screen went wonky and I ship it back to HTC repair and it came back nice and "new" (well it went through repair and I used it so I can't exactly say that it's new). so, no probs until a few months back, around September of this year. I noticed that the phone occasionally is in data mode, so no txt msg can come in. I checked and it was connected to MMS server. what the heck? I don't have any to send and there's none to download! I thought I just ignored it and probably it's just a glitch, but I'm not so sure anymore. because it happened about 4 times this week. out of the blue the phone goes to try to connect to MMS server to send and empty MMS msg to this -> ;
