Hi friends , it again me...

Video recording volume is very low in my vivaz.. can any one tell me how to increase the same????

It is the same "bug" as on the Satio I guess. There is no way to increase the volume (AFAIK).
Not even the modders found a way.
Others may correct me.....

I only have one solution that I can think of and it's not an on device fix. How about recording the video, then sending it to your PC, try converting it with a converter like Any Video Converter or what have you and setting the volume boost setting to 150% to 200%. I hope this helps the problem as I tried searching the internet but could not find a solution. Goodluck, and let us know how it goes.

i have released BAM v3 which boosts the mic so when you record videos/sound it is a lot louder. if you want to try it check it out here http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=197122
also this will only work with the satio.

I follow the developement of your BAM as well as the Kokoro-Mod (spelled correct?) with LOTS of interest. But right now my Satio is not hacked and I am a little afraid to go through the process of downgrading-hacking-upgrading right now.
But if SE really dropped the Satio (0,000001% irrational hope left) I will test it for sure.

A lot complain about recording level on their satio, personally I haven't noticed a problem as yet. It seems to record fine - any higher and loud environments would be TOO loud and cause crackle.

The recording is not that bad in itself, but the quality is ...annoying....could be better. I compare it to the volume-level my Nokia N82 had. Like I said in another post: with the N82 I recorded a lot and made a DVD ot of the material without
any problems concerning the sound (including speech, singing, music, near and far sound sources etc.).
With the Satio the sound is simply to low, somehow muffled. I would have to enhance the sound on the PC, but that increases the general noise as well. Not to mention the sounds I make like breathing, giggling, talking etc. when holding the Satio and recording a scene: those are extremly loud compared to the rest. That was not a problem on the N82.

So isolated on the video-recording I would gladly go back to the N82. But I sold it as soon as I got the Satio and now I have no cash left to change the phone again for the next months.

PS: Still like the Satio-Camera: Where else do you have a Xenon-Flash AND a LED? Again this feeling of wasted chance....

Any news on this low-volume thing with video-recording? No fix available anywhere?

It seems this low-volume-in-video-recordings "feature" continues onto the Arc / Neo / Pro models.

Gawd, Sony Eriscson, SHAPE UP!!!!

To me personally, it's not a big deal, since 99% of my recordings will be processed in a video-editor anyway, so it's no big hassle for me to apply an audio-normalize filter - but there's no way on earth I'll ever recommend neither the Vivaz, Arc, Neo or Pro to anyone who has video-recording as a high priority.
