Working with SE's Java phones is as similar to working on Nokia's S60 phones. everything was not as complicated as nokia's S40. and SE's A100 java OS works like S60 i guess this was the reason why max loves SE non-oses

hehe! I'm loving my K800 java multi-tasking. Obviously java still has a little way to go to equal s60 in supported api's, but it's getting there.
I have an N70, and I find the K800 many times more user friendly and ordered. Somethings, with the right apps, can be done on the N70 that can't be done on the K800, but overall the K800 just wins out on usability.
There is very good support for java apps these days.

depends what phone he has doesn't it? If he has a W800 or K750, W810 and a few others, the only option is a the halmer hack or the no java restrictions vkp patch.

Did anyone try the 0.9.5 version? I installed it on my K750i but it hangs while making a playlist, even if I only add one song... (it doesn't hang the whole phone, just the application, so I have to force it to close).

I did..it works fine, though the equalizer is very buggy.
