I am really at awe seeing the Samsung's camera's clarity, the BEST so far in camfones! It all started when they released their V200s in the past . . . so far, in the 2MP camfone arena, the Samsung D600 has shown the BEST camera-quality-image result, OUTBESTING the K750i/W800i/N70 etc. !

Posted by ambyzown
Very typical Samsung phones, these new series. They all look so alike.
I was expecting something more exciting. I'm not disappointed though.

Posted by dude_se
too d600ish for me. the d500 and 600 were ok but now a slightly improved design is needed iino

Posted by ambyzown
Exactly my point, the designs have remained virtually unchanged since the D500

Posted by max99
it looks like a pic of a

D500, D500, D500

Posted by Coxy
No mention of the P300. Prob coz it aint released here yet. Well it's thinner than a razr, and as thin when in the supplied case which houses a second battery! I'm told it's not a bad little thing either. If you were wondering, my dad has bought me one!

edit: it is the size of a credit card btw

is the p300 the one that looks like an old school calculator??

and JN the d600 pics are no-where near as good as a K750i, i used to have both at the same time and made many comparison shots, K750i was streets ahead, although the D600's video was far superior

Posted by korbindallis
the E900 really looks great

Posted by Coxy
@mutleyboy Yeah thats the one!

The specs are pretty good though. The design makes them look boring, except of course for the E900

ehem your wrong the D750i camera suxx
the D600 is way better if you see my "D600 Photo thread" you will see what I mean...

btw is there gonnabe a a D6 something else coming out or are they moving onto the D8 series lol

Samsung have really opened my eyes in phones,
the D600 is probaly the best phone you can you buy on the market right now

Posted by *Jojo*
Samsung is STILL the BEST when it comes to - camfones !

Posted by Draqula
What are you smoking people?

I have a K750 and my girlfriend has D600. The photo quality is wordls apart and not in samsungs favor.

Posted by Vipera ammodytes
K750 is a best 2mpx camera phone,D600 have crap camera...

Posted by mutleyboy
missy, i have seen your thread and none of the photos i have seen in there are better than what a K750i can take *where's the confused smilie?*

Posted by Miss UK
I had both and do you know which one I flung? the D750i it was so crap it has poor screen, looks cheap and plasticy... and it didn't take good shot's at all of my workplace but when taken with my D600 it was hail alot better!

sorry to say but Samsung has the better over the K750i's clan,
and at the mo Samsung are coming out alot quicker with newer phones compared with SE (Wheres the P990i?,it's gonnabe old before it comes out) lol

Posted by WelshTom
i can't believe some of the stuff i am reading here. now first thing to point out is that i am no SE junkie - i dont defend them blindly and think they are the best at every thing etc etc...

However i have owned both the W800i and the D600 and the camera on the w800i absolutely kills the D600 there just isn't any contest in almost all aspects and i have yet to see one photo that proves otherwise. Combine this with the w800i having, in my opinion, a far superior UI then i think it isnt hard to work out which phone is the better.

W800i build quality is dissapointing for SE. This being said SE dissapointing standard is still on a par with anything samsung have ever produced. My D600 felt equaly cheap to touch as did my D500 previously.

@miss uk
I think you have made it clear on many of the forums about your love for the D600.

Posted by Miss UK
I don't wanna start a bitching frenzy here,
but I was not happy with my D750i same thing a s a K750i/W800i..
to me it just looked cheap, the D600 has a better display, and atleast you don't have to use your Joypad constantley so then you hear ppl complaing "Gosh my Joypad is not working" lol

I really do and honestly think my D600 gave the D7 a thrashing and after a week using it its gone to a new home kk.226 I do believe lol

I think the main majority of guys don't like the D600 is because they find they have fat fingers and cannot write txt messages, forget all this pulava on the camera and pics guys... it's cos it's a wimmins phone lol and SE is well a guys thing rite

Posted by kk.226
Lol yes, missy I do have the d750i but not for long, not too sure why I took it, perhaps because you offered it and I never said no

I for one hate the d750i/k750i/w800i... the menu's make them feel childish for some reason, and it's pretty blocky, then d600 is pretty sleek, and doesn't ruin your pocket line Not much of an argument I know lol.

Posted by Miss UK
you see ppl
btw @ kk. have you got a D600 then?

Posted by kk.226
Lol did have but got bored lol....

But then I get bored of everything, only phone I haven't rid of is my 6310i... it's lasted longer than my p910i's 8800's and v3i's etc

Posted by Miss UK
I guess you haven't found the rite one yet

I was after a Siemens S65 for yonks I got one real cheap yesterday,
just needs a new housing (infrared cap is missing) the front fascia seems ok it's just the back it's abit dented appart form that I got a 3mth old phone for £40 not bad

i think im the same as kk.

i have gone through about 20 phones already since xmas. I am by no means a SE fan, in fact i dont have a favourite manufacturer, i like to try as many different phones as i possibly can, but in my experience the K750i/W800i (had both) beat the d600(again had 2 of these) photo quality wise, video not as good though,

AND, i agree with all comments regarding build quality, K750i and like are not very good, but i didnt like the plastickyness of the D600 either, especially the joypad thing and the buttons which were on the top half of the phone, too much clickiness with them in use

Posted by slattery69
i just got myself a d600 and kept my k750. quite enjoying the d600 nice well built phone and no joystick that deiceds when it works not when i want it to.
few annoyances with the d600, (or maybe just me) having to have ringtones and pics in use in the phone memory not on the memory card no text counter. but apart from that its a good phone.
i think the camera is good and better than the k750 IF you just want to point and click you dont need as steady a hand. however if you take your time with the shoot and can be arsed to play with the setting the k750 is definatly a better camera.
i also think the d600 is far better built the silder is nice and smooth and you never feel its going to break unlike the k750 which feels cheap and your wondering if the joystick or camera cover may just give up the ghost at any moment. the samsungs ui isnt as good as se but that maybe as i still getting use to the samsung one

Posted by Miss UK
@ Mutley how long ago did you have your D600?
if you had one of the first batch apparently ppl have been saying they had poor pics, with mine tho I rec mine has to be a updated enn cos the pics are amazing on it !

@ I don't have any doubts about having that phone it's elgeant,
easy to use and does everything I require basically, I think samsung shoulda put a option on the phone to change the SMS tones tho and a radio would have been great

Posted by Coxy
Glad to see this is staying on topic! lol. Well I have gone through 4 K750s and 2 W800s. Just sold my W800 and now using a Samsung E530. Obviously a downgrade, but I quite like the little thing, and I am quite into btw. Oh and I have a K750 hybrid in a box on the side, which I could use over the E530, but dont!

I will report back once I get my P300 this saturday as to what I think. Obviously not a K750/W800 contender, as it has a 1.3 mpix cam etc. But I'm thinking about Samsungs here as the thread is about the new ones, which the P300 is. Also I have a nice Sony T33 for takin pics anyway!

Posted by Miss UK
coxy do us a favour buy a D600

Posted by Coxy
Wunt dare. Unless it was super cheap, then I might. But I might get one of these new D800 series.

LOL I doubt you will get it for the same price I paid for it

I may go for anuv samsung next yr again depends what else they have,
thats yonks away yet tho

im really intrested in the new BenQ Siemens phones,
im curious to know if they've changed them somehow

Posted by Coxy
lol I doubt it. This P300 cost £350ish. Not too bad considering it isn't even out here yet. lol

Posted by Miss UK
that P300 looks bloomin weird.. is it ment to be a PDA phone?

Posted by Coxy
Nope, just a normal phone, though it looks as though it could be don't it. I love the old skool calculator look! It's thinner than a RAZR and smaller, height wise. I'll post pics against a RAZR when I get it. Roll on saturday!

Posted by Miss UK
yeah please post some pics.. i'll be intrested to see it

I have a V3 I hate it

Posted by Coxy
Yeah I will do. I had a v3 and hated the OS so got rid, now the guy who bought it... wants rid. lol

Posted by Miss UK
I swapped my D750i for the V3 with kk.226.. it came in a nice metal box.. but the phones boring, it's a V600 in a fashionable housing thats all

Posted by Coxy
V3i is a bit more appealing, but not the major leap the V3 needed to "stay alive" IMO.

Posted by Miss UK
it's got a 1.3mp camera rite? not really appealing lol

Posted by dgilmartin
Shouldn't this be called the coxy vs. miss uk thread?

Posted by Miss UK
lol sorry, everyone else can butt in

me too, the EF81 looks like a cool phone

Posted by ambyzown
Its also quite slim, look.

Posted by Miss UK
I wonder if the menu system has changed anything on the new BenQ Siemens, yeah that phone looks good.. I think my next phones gonna be a hard decision

especially with all these new SAMSUNGS on the go too

Posted by Coxy
Well here are the promised pictures. You can see it is thinner, and smaller than a RAZR, but very slightly wider.

Posted by amawanqa
Cool comparitive pics, coxy.
Will be keen to know what the P300's battery performance is like.

Posted by Coxy
Its just about to dye! lol I will charge it (if I can find a EU->UK adaptor) and then report back.

Posted by Coxy
An example of the 1.3mpix camera
