Vertu

As expensive as they may be, these are truely the Aston Martin of the telecommunications world when it comes to mobile telephony. Hand crafted with materials that include aircraft grade heat resistant "Liqui-metal" and the same metals used on drill bits from NASA shuttles, these handsets are simply exquist.

When place in Juxstaposition to cars such as a DB9 or Bentley, they are a superlative in the balance between sounds engineering made with premium materials balanced with the most stylish simplistic design of a traditional mobile phone.

Just my 50p's worth....or £3000-£25000 depending on the one you go for

Limited Edition Motorsport Version

Quality is un-paralelled

Scratch Resistant Saphire Glass

Limited Edition White

Vertu Range

Your thoughts please?

They are nice, very nice but im only 17 so not getting 1 lol. The concierge (cant spell that sorry) that comes with the phones is free for the first year right? What sort of request have ppl name do you know?
And after the 1st year how much is it?

Posted by Mrb 18
Aston Martin? Shame on you!!! Astons have performance and equipment to match its pricetag, the Vertus simply sucks when it comes to features it would be like an Aston with a 1,6l 4cylinder and cloth uppholstery, the Vertus is a bad joke for people with more money than brain....

Posted by JiggyJaggy
So what FEATURES does an Aston have that no other car has? NONE, its nthing to do with features, I was comparing style and build quality solely.

Posted by axxxr
I've always loved vertues for their pure class and amazing build quality, still trying to afford one...maybe one day!

the most expensive one in Bahrain in the Vertu store is 6,000 Bahraini Dinar. Much cheaper than the UK thats for sure.

Posted by below24

That can't be right can it?...6000 dinars works out at about: £9000

Nothing I would buy today though

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Here a few pics of my phone til I get hold of a top quality digi cam for some REAL close up of the qaulity of this phone. Enjoy

You really cant appreciate this phone until you see it in the flesh....it is SO well built.

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Yeah, something a bit different! The black, tan and brown etc looked lie a old mans phone, wanted something bright and sporty.

Posted by axxxr

Posted by JiggyJaggy

theres two things i really lovge about the Vertu!

one its not called "contacts" or "phone book" or "names" its full on "directory"

and secondly i love how they are made up the road in Hampshire!!

English craftmanship for you!

Having used this for a few weeks now I can easily say this blows the competition to shreds in terms of build quality. I really wouldnt hesistate throwing this handset about and on the floor and feel assures it will not break. Its feels extremely rigid and not the typical plastic cr@p you get on a mass-produced Nokia or a

Are you selling your personal Vertu, or is this another piece you have been able to get hold off?

Posted by etaab
I dont know where i dare post this for fear of being flamed - but what the hell.

I think its pig ugly.

Yes i know, flame flame flame people, but sorry, i just dont like it one bit. It might be indestructable, it might have great software and it might even clean my shoes for me in the mornings, but as far as looks are concerned i just dont like it one bit.

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Hi Raja yes this is a brand new I have for sale. PM replied matey.

Posted by Vein
Glad you have one JiggyJaggy

I mean some thing would be obvious. Why sell something that's shit in build quality for £2k ?
So you'll be getting a Signature series one next then ??

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Not selling mine, I got two.

No way def not getting the Signiture, they are UGLY!

Oh haha i think quite the opposite

Just don't lose your charger! Does it have the standard Nokia socket?

Posted by JiggyJaggy
No its not a standard charger but they do give an adapter which fits straight over a standard Nokia charger, so I just carry that around with me now when I wana charge my phone at a mates place etc, so nice and easy.

Posted by Raja
What's the earpeice volume like on the Vertu compared to the Nokia 8800? Through your experience, what phone is it most comparable to?

Thanks

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Earpiece Volume is much louder and clearer than any other as it uses an acoutstic Yahama speaker. If im totally honest you simply cant compare it to any other phone I have used before. Leaves the 8800 for dead and I have on of those that I use day in day out.

Posted by JiggyJaggy
To check vertu software is it still the old Nokia *0000# ?? Or what is the code again?

Posted by carkitter
Is that yellow Leather on the side and rear of your phone?
I like the colour and the volume buttons but not the shape of the screen.
Thanks for the first hand comments and pics.

BTW wouldn't a Vertu equate to a Maybach not an Aston?

Posted by JiggyJaggy
No I would equate the Vertu signiture to a Maybach, but a Vertu Ascent to a V8 Aston Martin, purelly for the slightly sportier look.

thats for u JJ

Posted by JiggyJaggy
My offer is still there matey... I feel like getting the blue one now, didnt realise how nice the blue stitching was!

Posted by ori
2 grands aint cheap, I would like to order one but not for that price, may be 1,5?

Posted by solidsingh
1700 is 2 low jj, let me no if u can offer more

Posted by Raja
SolidSingh. not to take JiggyJaggy's side, but £1700 for a used one is good money (I fully understand you have a minimun limit you are willing to accept). I have seen brand new ones go for not much more money than that.

I am looking to buy a new one (sadly not in blue) and I have been monitoring prices for the last 3 months waiting for the right one to come along.

Sam here, I have seen second hand ones go for £800-£1700, new ones, well I was gonna sell a brand new one for £2K, so your asking price seems too high. my offer is still available.

Posted by Raja
I got myself a special Orange Preview Edition, they are in a very rare Orange leather. Reputedly in 6 in Europe and 12 Worldwide. Hopefully I won't run into another Vertu owner with the same colour.

Sorry for the heavy watermark, but I don't want them appearing on ebay!

Posted by JiggyJaggy
Wow very nice indeed. Where did you get it from if you dont mind me asking? Lovely colour. thought Orange would be too bright but it looks amazing!

Posted by Raja
It's best described as 'Hermes' Orange. I have been told they are not going to produce this colour, which makes mine hopefully a rare piece (I think of it as a Patek Philippe for the future). When I get the chance, I will try and take better pictures, I think my digital camera is showing its age!
