That link gives me an error message.

Is it correct??

It redirects me to the main European page of Nokia.

Loooks huh... hmmm how should I say? I'm sure fans know good adjectives

humm.....a nice phone with loads of features....

Posted by mib1800
this 3250 is one very good design. I am quite surprise that Nokia came out with this twistable keypad which I think is very functional (one of the best). This is one is what I called innovation.

btw: this one is a Series60 smartphone with 2MP camera. Specs wise is top-notch as expected from a smartphone. Camera lens is located at the side of twistable keypad (like N90).

Orange nice find!!!

This looks like a cheap alternative to the N91 >> for those of us that dont particularly need 3G nor even have it available with our networks. Also For those of us that need a reasonably priced cheap upgrade or replacement to our existing S60 phones!!

3.5mm headset Jack sweet
No 850Mhz for North America (only 1900Mhz capable) forgiven
MiniSD Slot sweet (but is it hot swappable??)
Thickness, I dont mind .>> coming from a 6620 its roughly the same thickness!

Posted by Kryptik
I was also wondering about whether one could hot swop... Maybe this afternoon's press conference will shed more light. For now, it certainly looks good... Priced at euro350 before taxes and/or subsidies... Not too shabby...

Posted by Super G
19.8mm thick is rather thin in fact.

Not like NEC does it But quite decent.
By comparison, W800 is 20.5mm thick

Posted by Del
I have to admit that the specs of this phone are good, however personnaly I dont like the design.

Posted by Cenfi
hmm the spec indeed tempting... but the design is rather odd...

The twistable keypad is useful but the overall styling is awful!

The colours hardly brighten up your day do they!

Why can't the phone be styled individually to set it apart from others?

Styling seems to be applied that makes it look like more brick-like, with hardly any curves. I think the styling is drab and dowdy. Is it a bad attempt at retro?

@Super G

Do you really think 0.7mm deserves a mention

Posted by Kryptik
If it had been 0.7mm thicker than the w800 i'm positive it'd've been mentioned innumerable times by the hair-splitters. Be that as it may, it's a smartphone, blockish appearance notwithstanding. Nuff said.

Posted by Super G
No, the 0.7mm are not worth a mention or arguing about. That was not my intention. I just wanted to put a point of reference here, before one starts to complain about its thickness In short, it's just normal.

Anyway, I think it looks very UGLY, and the colors are awful.

@super G

Do you think Nokia are going down the wrong path too.

I think the handsets are over styled with that Nokia-esque look, a bit too much.

Posted by Jensy
I believe that the design is particualrly clever and the styling is far better than any SE have so far managed to think up. No matter how much i love my p910i it doesnt change the fact that its a pretty ugly piece of kit. The colour scheme is far from exciting, but not everyone likes the obcene look of the w800, or the boring appearance of the s700.

@goldenface

3250 is the heir of 3230 that I didnt like either, though it was relatively better looking.

Yeah, I could agree that they are going down the wrong path here. They have some neat looking phones, but this one clearly ain't one of'em.

I expect a music phone to look trendy, modern and not overdone...

While has found a clear identifier -which one could question- for their music phones, Nokia is still looking for that... and at the moment, a bit in the wrong direction.

1) I hope the comera has a cover.
2) It's not that bad looking but doesn't it look too much like the N70? If you don't see the swivel, that is. I can understand the swivel for the camera, but for music buttons, I just don't see the need. I'd put the music controls on the side or top anyday.
3) If it it were a 6xxx series I wouldn't worry about build quality, but going by the index and its predecessor the 3230 I'd like to here some real feadback before putting a judgment on it.

Thats just what I am talking about.

It was predicted that music - orientated handsets would be massive in 2005 and some manufacturers have managed to capitalise successfully, by restyling and rebranding in order to set their music handsets apart from normal phones - ( would have been silly not to utilise the Walkman brand.

Like you said above, you would expect such a device to look hip and fun - just like music is - however these attributes seem to have escaped Nokia with this device.

Posted by haynesycop
That thing looks horrid, no offence to anyone that likes it but it is hardly stylish....

Posted by brix25
I'm impressed but Nokia could've done without the twist- it doesn't seem practical.

If it was available tommorow I'd buy it.

Posted by deluded
Well, can't say much about the looks, it's quite subjective. But the specs are pretty good. I'd be tempted to get it purely based on its specs alone. Check out gsmarena.com.

Posted by jbm888
fresh new design i think.

Posted by amawanqa
Yeah, I like...,and the dimensions will certainly suit/fit more pockets than its impending 4 gig N91 monster-sibling...
not that dimensions is everyone's key criteria, but as I'm already hauling a P-series around,a smaller handset with these features would be most welcome.

Posted by mib1800

3250: "USB 2.0 full speed with mass storage profile"

can used as a usb drive without needing to install driver to pc. So N91/3250 would be first Series60 to support this.

Not trying to single you out, but like yourself many people agree on this. I dont. Im glad that it has a kinda obilisc, blocky state - this lasts longer over time to appreciate its design. The iPod is a huge success but its STILL a rectangle in ALL its designs & models.

You dont want to see another 7610/6670 design joke do you??? I sure dont.

problem is many have missed the obvious; NO FLASH!!!

Posted by batesie
a gimmicky twist.

Posted by Super G
@ Prom 1:

The difference is: the iPod is a beautiful rectangle.
All iPod wannabes have copied one way or another the iPod original design, but have failed miserably in my opinion. Only the latest Philips MP3 could stand against the iPod.

Posted by Krubach
I've said thta the phone was ugly but only sawthe pink one.

Can someone explain me what's the use of the twist thingy?

Posted by Super G
The twist thingy is to activate the camera. Twist it 90degrees and hopla the camera is activated. Twist it 90 more degrees and the Music player is active.

Absolutely useless, but cool I think. If looks had been different, I would like it.

Posted by Krubach

So you're either in cam mode or music player mode?
What about 'stand by'?

Posted by Super G
No, it's not either or.

Posted by mario2002
This is of little importance. What I would like to know is - How does it compare to the flagship N91 ? Does it have wifi ? Now this is a important feature I would say :-)

Posted by majikman
the twisty bit is obviously to ensure some faults appear, fones dont realy need twisty bits, imho. of course.

Yeah buddy, not if isn't done properly.I remember 3years ago quite a few chaps thinking the 7650 will brake up in 2 when they first saw the sliding design ! I can assure you it has never been a issue.I don't think the rotating keypad will be one either. But why no wimax ? Nokia is pushing wimax on all fronts (same as they do with edge). No nokia smartphone in 2006 should come out without wimax !
