Hi

I sold my P800 to a friend. It was working great for me, never a problem for the sms ( I was using it in Canada, through Fido). Now he takes that same P800 to the U.S., inserts his SIM card and he can't send sms. I told him to simply change the SMS center # in the messaging accounts/sms tab, but he says that the tab is greyed out. What gives? He tried his SIM card on another handset and it works fine....does anyone have an idea of what is going on here? Any suggestions/solutions?

EDIT: I forgot to mention...I did a master reset before selling him the phone, and he says he's done one as well since he noticed the problem. And of course, the losers @ Cingular don't even know what a P800 is, all they know is that the Moto R4zr is soooooo cool lol So yeah, please, help us...
Thanks a million, dont want my buddy to think I sold him a phone with problems...

oh, one more thing. if he does in fact have cingular they operate at 850 mhz, so im not sure if the p800 even works on cingular's network since the p800 is a triband and not a quad band phone. that may be why cingular has no idea what a p800 is because it wont work on their network?

He IS with cingular..I guess that explains it! Thanks man.

EDIT: But I wonder...I think he can make phone calls...if the phone doesnt support 850 MHz, would he still be able to make phone calls?
