Another story about new T610 firmware has surfaced.

Over on PhoneCHat there is mention of an R3L version.

Anyone here heard anything?

Cheers

The source is not stated but is posted by a user from Indonesia. I guess it could be location specific?

There was a thread here about R3A011 but that did not become publicly available (yet)

Cytech posted this link in the Swedish forum thread a few days ago. It mentions a new firmware called R3B that will be available on all T610's sold at the end of september, so hopefully that version will be available real soon for existing users. Also the link mentions improved Java speed in the new software.

There is a place to get the flashing cable (T28) mentioned in this thread.
If I had all the answers, I wouldn't have any questions.

@mat-mk3

Most servicepoints doesn't charge for the upgrade, you will not loose anything, but since the servicepoint doesn't take any responsibility for what you have saved in the phone it's always best to make a backup before the upgrade.

Popped into Carphone Warehouse today. The guy there emailed the technical department. He called me back to say they do have R3L. Have no idea what it does yet, but it exists!! Will be going to get my phone flashed later!
