N82 has a darker screen for some weird reason, the N81 and N95s have bright colourful screens but N82 is dark and seems to be lower quality BUT the K850 DOES NOT touch an N82 in allround, the N82 is by far better and is lighter. The N82 has A LOT more to offer INCLUDING FULL YouTube, much better camera, Wi-Fi, TV-Out , Better video recording, a larger screen and SO MUCH MORE with not as many problems as ive read of the K850. But anyway its your decision, the N82 has a 3D Graphics Engine with games like Global Race, System Rush, Quake, Quake-2 and some others taking full advantage of it,like i said, N82 has a lot more out there for it.

thats what i mean..the n95 beats the n82 screen hands down..and dude..for god's sake..cut the crap and stop commenting on things that you dont know yourself....i dunno what the screen is made of..but the readability under the sun is very bad..and can hardly be read properly at differnt angles...

nokia should also start a tuition for teaching peaple how to type on the n82 keyboard..its pure BS...someone with large hands will find it impossible to type one letter at a time...crap IMO...

all these have IMO with it..u guys are more than welcome comment on the phone..but please dont refer to me..its your opinion..not mine

For all above suggestions after I read it, I sounds to me that both of them almost have in their own (N82& K850) specialties.

But for me, I will look first for their prices.

I may sound like cheap but if both of them are almost equal, I will take which one of them has the lowest price.

Since the MOST important issue that we should think about IS the Communication (calling, texting, e-mail checking, etc..). This is what we use in any kind of mobile phones. It's not because of flashy or whether you have THE MOST expensive gadget you may have, but still the bottom line is how we use the Mobile phone itself especially in any event we encounter (emergency situations, giving news to others....) even though we pamper our mobile phones from updating its software/firmwares and so forth, I still prefer to choose the one has the lowest price.

Any comments or reactions about my statement here, I'd be happy to accept it whether it's negative or positive. It's my own comment (and also my suggestion)

If its value for money, I suggest you buy the Nokia N82 as it offers a good deal for the amount you pay for.

The K850 is serisouly not worth its price in my opinion. I dont think a phone with 5Mpx anda good screen is worth 400-450USD while the N82 at about 500USD has 5Mpx, GPS, TV-out, and decent music quality. Even if I dont use certain features I prefer to get the best bang for the buck, and if I were to buy the K850 at 450USD and knew the N82 was available at 500USD I'd actually feel cheated , but thats just me.

However if you want to consider a good all round SE phone maybe you can consider the P1i, which is again about 400-450USD? Its a really good phone.

You can either cut the crap yourself, or get the hell out. Dont even think for a second that its only you who has used N81 and stop acting like you're all knowing because you clearly are NOT!
Oh and as for the keys, they are no better than K850, T650 and W610.

You speak as if SEs don't have uncomfortable keyboards. The W880, W950, K850 and the others that QVGA mentioned also have small keys. The N82 is darker and less colourful than the other newer Nseries devices but it's not that bad, you are making it sound like screen is just completely terrible and its not.

i was comparing the n82 screen to its big brother..the n95..

and for your kind info..the k850 keypad is quite comfortable to use...maximum utilization of space and a wonderful dpad, are its plus points..the soft keys are brilliant..the keys are soft and well protruded..

the n82 does not come near to egronomics as the k850..

the user has clearly mentioned his needs..he does not want a symbian phone..and mal-utilization of a symbain phone can lead to slowness which hampers the performance of the phone in the long run..

and QVGA..please..i never referred to u in any of my posts..i am trying to give my opinion..and i would be obliged if you please stick to your own..everyone in this forum has an opinion to himself and disrespecting others does not put you in good light whatsoever..

@se_dude

you must be joking right? K850 with its learn-it-all-over-again unconventional keypad is downright difficult to use.

The only way K850 is a good buy compared to N82 is when its price is less than HALF that of N82. Otherwise the K850 is just a stupid buy with its inferior camera, crap built quality, bugs ridden firmware and much inferior specs.

The N82 is the big brother .....The N95 is the Big brother of the N80 so get your facts togheter. And read every review online they all say that the n82 has the same quality screen as the other nokias just with less brightness

Anyway go for the N82 if you have the money if not The K850 is a nice phone

Give your opinion like a civilized person. Its not me who is being disrespectful, its you. Everyone in this post is against you, more because of your behavior. Just because you're on an online forum doesnt mean you grow an extra set of balls and wave them around here.
And please read before you post, the user didnt say he doesnt want a symbian, he said he doesnt care if the phone has one. Quite different in meaning than what you said.

And as for symbian being slow because of its mis-use. I can only say if someone can mis-use a symbian, he probably will mis-use a toilet paper; because its no more difficult to use than SE, in fact its easier. I know because i've been using one for 2 years now. How long have you been using a nokia?

I'd reckon the N82 is better,

-no (semi-)touchscreen
-GPS on board
-Symbian S60 system

But i will be a SE addict

Why not? This is a big topic and we should discuss it endlessly! Every little flaw and bug raked over and over.

Sorry, I couldn't help borrowing a line from Zardoz as these threads reminded me of the movie.
