Nice pics! In the 1st 2 pics the N82 has a more detailed sky, while the K850 is just a blue blur.
The shot with shoes, the N82 has more background detail whereas the K850's backgrounds seem to be in a "dark shadow".
Good pics none the less.

All shots are in auto mode for both? For outdoor i prefer k850, for indoor with flash n82, the n82’s colors are too much saturated (as oranges), n82 wins low hands in very low light conditions , in complex are equal in value

This comparison was made by planete-nokia.com member's Gerber's (Gerban here on esato)
The pictures are not taken in auto mode, it's with settings.
Interesting review of N82 on mobile-review http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-n82.shtml I thing finaly that the N82 is not really better of the K850i for the camera. |

@planks - NICE-camfone-comparison made mate ! The barn-shots were made NOT that good coz as I sees it, the weather was a bit overcast when those were taken The N82 has a yellowish (darker) result compared with the K850i which shows TRUE-color.
INDOOR-shots were FAIR . . . I had a when I saw those oranges-shots . . . the N82 made it look like - APPLES, while it's TRUE-orange with the K850i . . .
Over-all, with theese pics being shown . . I'll GO with the K850i

all those K850 pictures were taken in document mode werent they? These pics show that if you actually use the settings that are given to you on the K850 you can achieve better results. Every review use standard auto settings, no wonder people are dissapointed with the quality. |

EXPERTS REVIEW
1st pic N82 has more details on sky,Colors look more vibrant
2nd pic N82 has more details(k850 manual setting used)resulting in brighter pic,(slight purple fringing on branches left corner)
3rd pic N82 has pleasant flash effect, unlike k850 which is little to harsh(see the white wall behind, its lost the texture details).and
completely washed out
4th Pic K850 has better colours
5th pic N82 has more details(slightly)
6th pic k850 slight purple fringing on left corner of pic.
So what is conclusion.
So above all N82 doesn't need manual settings or tweaking. And does provide nice vibrant and sharp images for novices on the other
hand. The problem with K850 is that when viewed in full resolution it has more noise and artifacts compared to the N82.And theres evident purple
fringing with k850 in some pic(from post ur k850i pictures). On contrary k850 has easy to use camera shortcuts and So I have to say N82 has little edge over k850I.By taking into consideration the first and foremost reasons being
1)less noise2)more sharpness3)no weird coloration in pic(purple fringing)
4)better flash/indoor pictures.
Other consideration
N82k850
Imaging.
lens coverNo lens cover.
Vga RecordingQvga Recording.
Tv outNo tv-out
Durability.
More durableProne to dust and scratches.
hardware usability
No shortcut keysShortcut keys.
Handling
Easy to handle/No hand in back of phone.resulting hiding the sensor
This in review is based on imaging (photo-video)and hardware(build quality) basis.Other pros and cons may not be listed here.Consumer are requested to consider other options and features based on their needs.
Please let me know if u have any queries.
Thanks

So finally shoulder to shoulder! I must admit, for a phones that have only two things same, cam mpx and flash type, personally I see K850i as a clear winner. Flash is a bit too strong sometimes tho.. Looks much better and I like the menu more than Nokias.
Just that freaking fw and it should be ok |

As usual can you post thse picts in full size. How can anyone realistically compare when the picts are shrunken TEN times (pixel wise) |

think low light/cloudy & the indoor pic with the shoes are better/sharper with k850.
and N82 have little better saturation on some outdoor pics.
ps..the oranges looks horrible with N82 ???????
k850 orange-picture is much sharper & better colors !!!!!

Well for one, FULL size picts comparison would be much better.

@mib, great comparison.. Only few questions and comments, if you don't mind. What's the point of it if I cannot see on the screen what is actually on the photo? And if you print it out will you make it of that size? I mean, they're side by side, I don't want to laser-slice the hair now, but to be frank both of them are great. Just Nokia has color saturation on default that I do not like. I'm talking only about camera here.
Edit: These photos are point&shoot?

@plankgatan
You sure know how to exploit the camera functions in the k850i.
I've seen several of your pictures posted in your posts from different threads in this forum and I must admit you take good pictures.
Any tips for a fellow k850ian? |

He will say you could take all photos in document mode
@ plank, respect, just a teaser.
@mib here are two in macro:
One is low light w flash and second one is low light w/o flash:
I asked you cause detail of the speakerphone (or whatever) is very low. Noise is similar tho
