Hi , i am having problem in my w950i LCD, half screen is working and the upper half is not working in the sense that if i click on walkman it clicks on tody menu. the alignment of LCD is out. Plz can any1 tell me is it a LCD problem or a software problem. the reason why i said software probelm is beacuse MY phone LCD is not cracked or damaged, its in perfect shape.

After i flash to singapore firmware by writing GDFS, i update with SEUS. But it written "Update Failed". My SEUS software version is 2.8.4.11. Is it because latest version of SEUS got bugs? I keep trying to update, but at 0%, it already shows "Update Failed"... |

In control panel - other there should be a setup wizard, and there will be a screen clibration routine in there. If you continue to have problems then post this as a new topic - as it's 'off' this one

what does unbranding exactly do? unlocking a simlock? using a phone that locked for 1 operator in other operators? |

gezer, it only removes the networks tweeks to the software. eg Orange have their own today screen, o2 might have startup / shutdown logos with bubbles. The advantage of removing their firmware is that they are normally the last to be updated (if ever) so you're phone will be better off.
If you are looking for SIM unlocking then I suggest paying your network for the unlock code as I've not seen much cheaper on the web.

Cheers, I take it I just choose GW1 from the list and thenjust let it restart on its own once unplugged? Anything else I have to do after this? As it has not done anything and is still branded!

Wait..
Use the first session for the gdfs backup (just in case):
Configuration (at the bottom right): GDFS > Backup GDFS
This will backup your original GDFS to a file.
After that you will have to disconnect and start over and then, yes, just choose P1i GW1 and flash it with the GW1 cda.
But you're not done yet.
Disconnect your phone, close xs, start SEUS and connect your phone again.
It should recognize your phone as a GW1 now.
Download the fw, install and enjoy.
