I have a sandisk 1GB to try out and it seems fine...

It's a gaming version no issues...

What is the format for 1Gig and 2Gig Duos? Are they Fat16 or Fat32?

fat16 only supports up to 2GB partitions so anything over requires fat32 (windows will automatically use fat32 for partitions over 2GB)

I also have the same problem. It's R1N035 problem coz when I flashed a new fresh of R1N035, the problem still exist. But if I flash back to R1L, the problem was gone. It seems like the problem happended when you try to copy file more than 60 MB approx. This happended both small but many files and one big file. I use SE K750i, MS Duo Pro 512 MB

Ok I'm a little lost with this so excuse my ultra noobiness.

You guys are saying that if you try to copy too many files at once to the MSD, they disappear once you access them from the phone? What about taking pics/recording videos and storing them to the MSD, would they disappear too?

So the solution would also be to copy a few files at once?

@simply__me

take it to a SESC and they will fix the curruption issues for you....

have you looked also at the list of requirements for a update without errors ?

No solution so far... however SonyEricsson has been reading this forum. i just received a message from the brazilian support center with my post translated into portuguese (bad translation, by the way...).

So yes, they are working on that, but no, no solution so far. i'll keep bugging them until they provide a solution.

@leviath

I've already updated and have had no experience of the bug as of yet. I was just asking if that was the problem.. cos I'm a little slow with this.. lol

I think the cause of the MS corruption problem lies not only on the new firmware but probably also the old Sony USB driver has an incompatibility with the new firmware because the problem arises only during USB file transfers and never during BT transfers. I think something goes wrong with the disabling of write back caching during the Memory Stick file operations via USB. XP probably uses still a caching mechanism despite it should not do and this is causing to lose some files.

I also want to go back to R1L002... How did you do that? Because I am getting really sick and tired of the R1N035 FW....

No solution, I tried all, also the requirements posted by Leviath (thak you mate), but nothing has worked out.

I will wait for the next fw to come, it will solve the issue surely.

Let me know if some of you get the goal.

Maybe this have been mentioned before or else where; you can overcome this annoying bug by transfering files into the memory stick through a memory card reader.

Yah I know, it's pretty outrageous to get a memory card reader to fix a bug thanks to an 'update', but it works flawlessly.

Another advantage to keep in mind for you people who are reluctant to buy one: the transfer speed is a lot faster than using the mobile phone.

I think its a problem with sony ericsson usb drivers. the problem doesnt only affect SE USB transfers. Once you transfer some files using USB to a K750/W800, all other devices for USB file transfer (eg USB keyring memory etc) experience the problem of transfering a file to it and it dissapears.
