Also, I'm not sure if I really get SE's overall strategy based on today's announcements. Here's why, specifically:

Seems like they could have consolidated the new lineup into maybe 2 or 3 fewer handsets, and also that the new premium device should be entirely tricked out with a top of the line camera with Xenon flash. Their marketing strategy is really baffling me - SE fanboys love it, obviously, but I fear that the rest of the market is underwhelmed right now.

PK Whats the build quality like on this? Build quality is so important on sliders so I really hope this phone wont suffer from loose ends or a wobbly sliding mechanism.

It's perfect !!! but it must be too Xpensive=Xperia. It doesn't have 3g, that's bad. and why the hell 65000 colors ??we need more than 262000 not less. Anyway, I'm happy with all new SE phones. Hope nokia has nothing more interesting than SE.

i'd really like to see a new SE phone that i can fall in love with. i was hoping to see it today, but I don't know if i did.
x1 is close ... but it's months away from being available. i feel like i need to get one in my hands to see if i'll love it or not - i thought iPhone was overpriced and under-specced when it came out. then they cut the price and i tried one out. and now i use it every day even though the camera sucks.

You really need to read better.
It has quadband HSUPA....and WinMo is technically limited to 65K colors, though the WVGA resolution offsets this.

So what do you use, the 810 in your profile? TMob or ATT? I'm on TMob under contract and hoping they roll out 3G already - I'd rather stay with them then switch to ATT, but definitely want a 3G network when it's time to sign a new contract.

Those pics above look nice but the black version looks better imo.
I hope the interface is as smooth as on the iphone. That video really didnt show much in that respect.

i guessed ur under t-mobile since u said u used m600i which is incompatible under att. ya i use att and i use w610i...do u hv any idea on wat band t-mo will roll out its 3g ? att rocks excepts for its 850 band which i dont like:(

are there arrow (cursor) keys on the x1 qwerty board? i read elsewhere that there aren't -- can't tell from the photos.
also, is the "arc slider" effect more dramatic in the press photos than it is in real life? from the actual photos i've seen so far online, it doesn't look like a very dramatic angle - hard to tell
