Comparing DHD vs Arc vs X10

I was set to buy me a big screen phone this late summer and compromised it down to an Xperia Pro.
As a new main phone instead of the X10 Mini (Love the X10 Mini but really wants a bigger screen).

Now I have decided to get me the new phone this April instead and wants a >4" screens models.
Choosing between the Desire HD, Xperia Arc (X10 with Gingerbread was also on my mind but cut now).

As I see it the half year old DHD can match the performance of the upcoming Xperia Arc.
But the DHD seems to be a soon to be discontinued model. While Arc still has to hit the shelves.

The DHD is well cheaper than the Arc, at least now in the spring.
Have been using SE small screens phones for a year that I am aiming for the Desire HD for a change.

Will use the mobile as a computer replacement, when outdoor. Mostly for surfing, playing music and video (perhaps even an odd phonecall too ).
Should I reconsider?

Although I could wait till both 3D and dual core and all-round better performance phones arrives but there will always be a next year, and I want the new phone now...

Thanks Toney for the reply

Bought the HTC Desire HD together with two spare batteries . Could have settled with a single spare battery
(Having a X10 Mini now and hates when it shows half battery power, just to go down to red, just by using it for a half an hour)
Have heard bad things about the DHD's battery.

Else the DHD can match the SE Xperia, except for the camera (which of little interest for me).

@Toney: Have the 2.3 Gingerbread update come DHD's yet?

Got my DHD today, yipeee!

What a beast being used to the X10 Mini (the smallest Android phone) coming to the gigantic 4.3" Desire HD equals culture shock.

The metal housing has a down side, you really feel the phones weight in your hand
Also the big screen is actually a source of pain Stretching the fingers from end to end on the screen while holding the "phone" is really painful after a while.

Still the DHD seems to be able to deliver what I wanted.
Guess they who buys the Arc will be satisfied with CPU and GPU performances.

Sorry, missy, no can do

It isn't that heavy, Compared to the smallest Android phone X10 Mini you can tell which one that has a 2.6" screen from the one with a 4.3" screen, by their weight.

Will use both till my contract with the provider that the X10 Mini uses expires now in November then the X10 Mini will be retired.
By then I will have worked up some muscles to handle the DHD effortless

Purchased the HTC want HD in concert with two spare batteries .Could accept settled with a individual spare battery (accepting a X10 Mini at present and hates when it shows half battery power, only to go down to red, only by utilizing it for a half an hour) accept heard bad things about the DHD's battery. Else the DHD can correspond the SE Xperia, exclude for the camera (which of small interest for me). accept the 2.3 Gingerbread update arrive DHD's yet?
