Trying to set up email on this phone.
I get message server not certified all the time and have to click continue to download messages or send.
After battling with SE and Microsoft live they advise me that the certificates need to be on the phone however both companies are blaming each other... typical apauling customer services!
So I need to get the certificate on the phone, whilst I know how to do this and install it I dont actually know what certificate is required for a live.co.uk email address.
I am told I can get these from internet explorer on my pc but non are called live.co.uk
I added one called Cybertrust as suggested by a friend but this didnt work and email stopped working completly.
Any ideas?

Sorry that I am not able to answer your question. But it seems you have masterd somthing I have not. How did you install the certificates on the W995? I contacted SE and they said the W995 did not suport certificates... (!!)

I didn't get it work I bought an iPhone instead much better and functional than stuck in time SE!

It happens that only two days ago I managed to solve a similar issue with my K850i. For almost two years I tried to use my office e-mail server to receive and send e-mails with my phone. I could only receive. Since our server required SSL for SMTP, the connection always failed with the "server not certified" message. I had to use a non-secure SMTP server account provided by the network operator (Vodafone Romania). But a short while ago our e-mail server started to also use SSL for POP3 and IMAP, and this caused the sending to fail again with the same message, rendering Vodafone's solution useless. Anyway, with the help of the internet and our e-mail server's admin I managed to finally solve this issue. Here's how.
Please visit this link, it has useful information about the certificate type and methods to import it in your phone. Also, this link may be useful for the e-mail server admin, in order to generate the certificate (the link is also present in the first linked page).
I will aggregate the information and resume it: you need a certificate generated by the server admin. If their server is Linux based, the second link might help him with this step. The certificate must then have its file extension changed to .cer and must be sent to your phone over bluetooth push (downloading it using the phone browser didn't work for me, the certificate was saved as a regular file instead of being installed).
This worked for me and my phone and I hope it will help you too. I apologize for the lengthy reply, but I tried to be as thorough as possible. And one last mention: if the second link doesn't work, try again later. They seem to have a problem today and the page does not open, but the link is good.
