I can download more than that now .I did some setup at the settings for java->internet profile-> mtn wap which is the internet profile am currently using, it was on mtn gprs b4 thats why am wern't able to dowld more than 1mb. But now its ok infact i just downloaded a file of 8.6mb and right now am about dowld a file of 3mb if it will still work.

Guys! Going by our discuss here we have really dealt blows to this shylock network/service providers. Thanks to opm 2.06 and all our genius on this forum. But i think its time to move up. Opm 2.06 must be displayed on a pc using microemulator and we should be able to configure it for free browsing. I was able to follow certain steps to have 2.06 displayed on a microemulator on my pc. You must have a jre - java runtime enviroment (go to brothersoft.com) a microemulator 2.0.2 gz - not the source (sourceforge.com) and opm 2.06 - couldnt get the english version with jad file so i use the russian version. I have the whole thing working, i inserted the code in opm 2.6 but when i fired it, it ran down credits on my phone. I was very suprised cos i thought if i could browse freely with opm on my phone, there shouldnt be difference when it is on microemulator running on a pc. I am stuck here. I need help. I also got opera 6.5, hoping it would work with proxies for free browsing, but it refused. Guys pls help out.

@man4war why not try other yhello cheat .check ur pm i ve sent u the cheats or if u are within an area that has zain strong gprs service then switch over to zain mms its free u can activate it on http://dmc.ng.zain.com or better still use fregate-> http://www.dongtaiwang.com/loc/software/677p/fg677ped.exe
then report back for the config

Fdigital, great thnks i will try those cheats on om 2.6 on my pc and give you feedback. If it works, i would have to dispose the opera 6.5 which i thought could give me the expected results using proxies. Pls is fregate a browser? Solibay they say is equally a good browser like om 2.6 do you have a thread to free download of it? Thanks a lot.

Fdigital, alleyezonme and all techies on this forum, i need your asst. Whenever i fired om2.6 on microemulator installed on my pc, it would run some scripts and attempt to connect to some server somewhere and in doing that, my naira credits is chopped off. I know you may ask why i should have naira load on my phone when i use it as a modem to my pc. But reason for that was if i dont load a recharge card, om2.6 will not load on the microemulator. I have tried that several times only to hit brickwall. Tha help is how can i stop om from running scripts and cutting my credits when i tried to load it on my pc. Maybe it is a russian version which i am using, but i downloaded the english version and when i fired it on the pc it ran scripts and refuse to load even when i had credits on my phone. I know you guys understand what i am saying, where can i find om2.6 jar and jad files that would not run scripts like om4.1. It is a pity that 4.1 has no modded version. Or can you point me to om2.6 mod you are using on pc?

@man4war thats why i said u should use zain mms since u are using microemulator its free and also make sure ur mtn gprs/3g profile is at mtn wap not Acess and set ur system to firewall without proxy,make sure u did the right setings as stated ealier on this thread.

OK so I want to browse for free, I'm in South Africa and my service provider is Vodacom (4u prepaid). I already found a wapsite that I can browse for totally free (http://live.vodacom.com) and have set up my Opera mini mod 2.06 like described in this topic(thread).
It does connect without any problems, but I still get charged (I'm on prepaid and money gets deducted from my account)
So I have everything I need, what am I doing wrong and what should I do?
Thanks for any suggestions as at the moment anything would help!!!

Hey, maybe I can try and help! OK first of all you can't use exatly that settings described eccept if you live in exactly the same area and have the same service provider as the member that post you quoted, was sended to (which you don't).
What you need to do is find the settings for your location and service provider. Here's how: go to your internet settings and edit them, look for your ip adress and write it down, and then find your homepage, write that down to.
Ok now replace that settings in Opera mini mod with the ones you just got. (i.e. Opera mini server: "your-home-page@your-ip-adress"
At shadow connection adress: "your-home-page"

on ur op mod network setting put
172.23.1.12/mms.ng.zain.com mms.ng.celtel.com at the address to connect. at the opm server leave it and uncheck reset server at an error .and make sure its ön mms.

mehn zain is extremely very high 75kb/s though is becoming a little bit congested since MTN has started barring some free browsin users sim from there gprs access. But with operamod on MTN on pc it roooooocks

Fdigital, what u said about mtn is true oooooo. They have started barring people from accessing their gprs service. Before i browse with no load on my phone. i was suprised when i couldnt browse without credits again. The gprs indicator refused to hold and i continously receive "authorisation denies" until i had to go and buy credits which is what i am using now. Though i must give thznks to om mod for saving me still. We must start to figure out a way to circumvent this new development.
