www.barryboys.co.uk - all the advice on how immensely awful some cars look and how not to modify a car, they have supersheds on there like the golden TVR from Carisma Autostyling!!
Worth a look

Posted by faultymonkey
ok my advice ( i have no experience, this is just what i think)
do something like the first design, but leave off the giant spoilers, but shiny paint is good (but not too much)
DO NOT do something like the ford focus, i just looks like they have replaced the panels with plasitc and melted it together.
fast is good, but if its a roady not too fast (or limit it for road stuff)
but most important: pick a good car to start with, dont try sooping up a vauxhall corsa: not worth it...
Posted by solidsingh
i think that focus looks well smart, not too much of a boy racer car but not standard either
Posted by luigithfc
lol i ih it as mine!!!
yeah tune it up iill look quite cool but dont make it chavish!

I love evos, but dont really like that, colour and the wheels dont suit it.
How bout this:

A nice healthy glow!

@faultymonkey: if you already know that you don't have experience then why bother giving "advice"? Its like a new student trying to teach a class full of seniors, they don't belong in that place!
I admit that I'm not too fond of large spoilers, but if done correctly it can look pretty nice. I think the spoiler on the evo looks somewhat decent. At least it isnt one of those rice spoilers that arent carbon fibre (used heavy steel instead) and are only there for show (so it actually deproves drag co-efficient)
The hatchback looks kinda nice, its a matter of individual taste. I think it was going for the "clean" or "shaved" look, thats one form of customizing your car in case you didnt know.
Define "too fast". The amount of power a car makes is up to the owner, you have no right telling people to "limit" it because they might be able to handle cars at a speed higher than you can handle.
But I totally agree with you on the Vauxhall Corsa.

Posted by Coxy
Sorry for the bad pic but it was taken on a T630. This was a very nicely modified Vauxhall Corsa with Lamborghini Doors, full body kit, colour coded interior, and some nice ICE.

@magpiemaster,
i hope you have quite a bit of money, that evo would have cost heaps. And here in Australia, jap car parts (best in my opinion) are fairly exspensive here....
Posted by QuickShare
that Evo was sleek pimped!

damn i never bored of this SUV!

I know they are quite expensive but i am going to have to save up because i either want one of them or a subaru impreza (don't know how it is spelt)
Posted by >500
yeah my brother has a subaru impreza wrx, great car, goof performance.
Though, if you are going to get an evo, be sure to look at a wrx sti and not the standard wrx, other wise there is major differences there.
Id look at evo 6, 8 or 9, and sti models from 2000 onwards.
Posted by Burgaz
Saw this bad boy in newquay during the summer.... Totally awesome!!
And i can't believe someone would buy an Evo and then do this to it!!!!
This could be the worlds most Chav Evo EVER!!!!
Posted by leeboy13

Posted by magpiemaster
i think that would have been ok for the world cup but that will stay like that forever, stupid decision

My Lupo
Before (day I bought it)

Few weeks later

Bit later

Just before I lowered it

After lowering 40mm

Personally I dont like anything over the top. Like to see nice subtle things done which complement the cars original lines.
Sold my Lupo 2 weeks after lowering it and bought my SEAT Leon. Will put a few pics up of it in a min.

Ok. Here we have my Leon. Still a work in progress.
Just before I drove it off the garage forcourt

How it looks now

And a little to brighten up the black and grey interior

So far since buying the Leon in Feb 06 I've done the following:
Early SEAT Leon Cupra wheels, SEAT chrome grill kit, Honda S2000 ariel, VW Golf R32 front Aero wiper conversion, VW Touran rear Aero wiper conversion, Debadged rear then rebadged with MK2 Leon lettering, Tinted SEAT rear light clusters imported from Germany, Audi TT alloy pedal conversion, Prototype MOMO gearknob with handmade gaiter, Golf R32 leather handbrake, Golf armrest conversion, SEAT Aura cd headunit, SEAT 6 disc changer mounted in glovebox, Silver SEAT centre dash pannel imported from Germany, SEAT Leon Cupra R 122 Leather steering wheel.
Like I said. Still a work in progress. Plenty more to go on as well

Nah All German cars just have that extra Umph Big difference to The Japs Crap and US junk!

Posted by Coxy
@Rookwise
I think so far you have added some nice bits. But I think a cupra bodykit would do the thing some justice.
My dad had a 1998 Seat Ibiza in that horrible bright green (dunno if anyones seen it) but it was the 2 litre 16v limited edition cupra rally special. Was a mint car, went on ebay a few months ago for £2000, cost about £14k lol.

As I tune japanese cars, here's a few of my friends' projects(my 'budget' project not included here):
CelicaVVT-Li(ZZT231) (TRD pack):
MR2 GTS(rev.3) - nice car, just fitting a new AIC to this:
200SX(S14a) - friend of mine, runs in D1GB drift championship:
and finally, a special friend........
Celica GT-FOUR(ST235) - Unique 4WD/Turbo model, built by Adrian Smith(in the pic) and the guys from FENSPORT.......200mph+:
.....Yes, I enjoy my work!

Posted by Coxy
@Aware, some nice cars in there!
Got any good pics of an R34 Skyline?
What you got?
Posted by >500
@aware,
dont think thats a celica gt4 the last one you posted. They stopped making that model in 98 i think. Though you may have a gt4 engine in it. Btw, that turbo is hugeeee, what is it, t-67? or bigger?
@coxy
you like this?
possibly the nicest r34 ive seen. And just on a side note. The volk te-37 wheels are the sexiest wheels, and the oz superligare (i cant spell that properly) are very nice too....

sorry coxy? lol
Toyota stopped making the gt4 in 98 i think, the st235 were the model indication of each gt4 model. They may have done 4wd conversion on this celica, who knows.....
Posted by Coxy
Yeah thats what I meant. I think they have done some sort of hybrid mod to this one.
That skyline is nice too!

Posted by Aware
Yes guys, as I put, it a Unique car! A 7th gen. Celica(ZZT230/231), fitted with 6th gen. Celica(ST201/202/205)GT-FOUR running gear.......a LOT of work.....
The turbine is a Garrett GT35/42, built for Adrian by Turbo Dynamics.....
Toyota GB actually GAVE Adrian the Celica(they had it 'spare'), after he took his previous car, a COROLLA GT-FOUR(5 door, yes, really), to 211mph......
......and the rest is being recorded as history.....

@Coxy, will dig out some R34 pics later, surprisingly not that many on my phone yet!........

Posted by >500
i have to say i didnt like those golfs? that were posted before. The front bars are really ugly, dont suit the car at all, looks like something out of Need for Speed underground...

I like it smooth and sexxxy!!

Posted by >500
@786kbr
You think because im australian, i have no taste or something, an di just like my v8's, lol. I hate holden and Ford here...well i dont mind Ford....
And i do like european cars, idont mind gamballa tuned cars, or the hamann etc....there are som jap cars i dont like, if its got an ugly body kit, its an ugly car to me.
I loveeeee the porsche turbo, one sexy car, and the Fez f430.
We are all entitled to our own opinion

edit: my bro has a 96/97 model golf, its got the old rally car styling.
All it needs is some nice wheels and some lowering, and it will be a little beast.

I went to Santa Pod raceway for the finals a few weeks back and saw this stunning Ford focus! He only wanted just under £7k for it! And its the only Focus in the world with 22" (yes thats twentytwo inch!) rims!
Not bad pics from the N80 either!

Posted by joebmc
Best thing to tdo is buy a car that dosen't need modding!
Prime example...

Posted by >500
looks like a mini truck lol
Posted by Coxy
Looks stunning to me! I know someone who is chopping in their current Civic for a Type R when they come out next year
Posted by joebmc
Yeah my girlfriends brother has the last civic typer r in black, the new version of the two (think it has clear rear lights where the older model doesn't).
He would love to get the new one (so would i) but we both have other commitments now (mortgages)

Ahh the classic house or car question. Unfortunately the house usually wins! My mates looking to get the old Type R. Is a damn good car.
