ReviewsBy fbloise on Jul 25 2008 Best music & video playing device with a phone!
Pros Very easy to use, intuitive (even my granMa can use it), superior audio sound, very nice Safari implementation, videos and music playing quality, TV-out, widgets, calendar & alarms are very intuitive, accelerometer, "pinch" on photos to enlarge is very nice, WIFI, Call quality is good.
Cons Signal strenght is somehow mediocre, camera quality is not good but not the worse (as in Nokia N81), EDGE speeds are painfully slow, limited aplications gallery (2.0 app store), blocked OS, no bluetooth send/receive, no copy-cut-paste, no video recording, No MMS.
Conclusion This is a nice device for someone who likes to listen music, previously had an ipod and wants the easyness of Apple products.
EDGE is slow and has some negative facts like no bluetooth sharing or tether with PC, bad camera and no Video recording at all that sets apart from power users like us, but is some how a device my wife or somebody not into tecnology would love.
Safari si very nice and makes a hell of a job rendering pages, and the screen is gorgeous, with all those colors. Watching movies or tv shows is a nice deal here.

Pros gorgeous screen, 16gb of space, safari browser, i pod media player.
Cons unusual & bothersome sim card slot, fixed battery, no video camera, virtual keypad etc.
Conclusion on opening the box of the i phone the 1st thing you will need is a metal paper clip to open the ridiculous sim card slot. do not try to open the back cover as it is fixed & user can't change the battery.
screen is absolutely wonderful & is a total pleasure to watch & surf on.
sound from the handsfree is great but from the speakers is not very loud.
safari's browser works very well & I did not miss the opera mini. speaking of opera mini, the I phone has no java applications nor can they be installed.
I phone does not allow audio/video downloads, user can only view online media.
you tube application works very well & watching you tube videos is a piece of cake.
google maps is not so helpful but the email application is smooth.
the e90 is a let down but the i phone is a lemon.
