as far as i know several samsung phones have the ability to lock directories.

SE will not implement this, not in a current firmware anyway, they don't make these types of changes to firmware.
This is a feature reserved usually for smart phones. Your basic handset is not for carrying data with an aim to make it secure. |

The aim is not to make it secure - that would require encryption.
The aim is just to stop anyone from snooping around personal files on the phone.

dunno if it helps, but found a file encrypter, unfortunately not for directories.
File Protect - A small application for mobile devices which support the JSR-75 extension to allow access to the filesystem of the phone or memory cards. This application can Encrypt file in your phone on password...

that app kicks butt! Shame it can't do whole directories, but hey, it does work. It will definitely suit me for some purposes |

i've secured sum of my photos and vids by making sub-sub-sub-and more sub folders in the mem stik via my pc.. hek, now my folders looks like a maze game!
