If anybody is wanting an iphone my friend has just started at an o2 call centre and said that it will be going to customers with £70+ bills per month. Can anybody who works for o2 clarify this?

I'm due an upgrade at the end of November, but thought i'd stick it out another year if they offered me this but there is no way i spend £70 per month on my bills.

ahh.. sales patter... phone an O2 shop, tell them you want it for an new connection, then go into store, and say hi yeah come to pick uo my iPhone but I've changed my mind, I want to do an upgrade..

play the feckers at their own game...

thats false information you have been given. no one will be getting the handset free or anything for o2 people they can get it for £199 the handset, thats the only discount o2 staff people can get, but the tariff price etc, will be the iphone tariff prices that everyone will be getting, staff or non staff.

I was thinking the opposite.

Never had a problem with it. Every time i click a page it opens instantly.

Not one problem at all.

On it as we speak

They schedule maintenance most nights.

Most site do.

It not normaly down long, just normaly a short while while they make modifications

Also there sites are linked to online accounts. This allows the Servers and computers to be updated with out interruption.

Its a complex time updating things.

Trust me i know. I do it. It takes 30 mins to update and a whole life time to revert back if it doesnt work.

Just upgraded, they really are pushing the 18 month plans now.

I was offered £20 400 xnet + 1000 txt and free calls to o2 phones.

But in the end I settled for the same offer as last year, £20 pm 500 xnet + 500 txt and a k850i for £40,

i'm happy with that

That's pretty good.i'm not sure what to do? I either need to write a letter to cancel or try to haggle and I'm no good at haggling. I'm on 200 minutes and 500 txts for 30 pounds and my bills are either dead on or slightly over. Just wondered what people think I could get for that?

If you don't mind 18 months they can do so really good offers for £20-£25 its not all about haggling its about being nice and just telling the truth and asking for the best they can do.

If you think they can do better say so. It always works for me.

Thanks for the tip, the only phones i'm interested in are the iphone and the blackberry pearl but it has been removed from their website as i can only find the curve. Not too sure when the new one is out.

To be honest i don't really call people i just txt so the 200 minutes is perfect, although 500 of txt and calls and unlimited data would be very nice and a blackberry.

Do you think if i rang up now i could get something, as i took the contract out on 28th November last year or is it too early. My friend just started a job but unfortunately she is not in retentions.
