The W810i can be had on the O2 website for free with free BT headset on a £19 a month tarfiff. If you go to quidco you also get £35 back as well.

they offered me 500texts 400mins for £20 a month and either £75 credit a Z520 or a 5140. I took my pac code (atm i'm getting 500 text 400 mins for £15 a month and got a free K750 this time last year). They werent able to offer me a better deal because I was in "band A" apparently - i.e. very low monthly spend.

Just got off the phone with o2, they went from charging me £150 for the xda mini s (imate k jam) on upgrade to paying me via crediting my account with £75 to take the phone from them for free. Shows what can be done when you ask for the PAC code

Alright sunjivas,

What phone did you try to get out of them?

I rang up a minute ago and they said they'd be happy keeping me on the same tarrif but I'll have to wait till the 28th with the K800 is in stock to find out if I can get the phone for free.

hey m8cky how you doing mate? that time of year again isn't it! I dint get round to even trying to get a decent phone out of them, they really werent budging further than £20 a month - 500mins 400 text and a £75 credit, Z520 or a 5140! They've already issued me with my PAC but I might call them up again and see whether theres any changes in what they offer me! How much has your average monthly spend been this past year? Thats probably the reason why they're able to offer you a better deal, also what they say now and what they say when you actually come to agree a deal with them could be totally different, cant trust o2! Mines been very low (she said it was £9.98 including the line rental which I don't know how she worked out because my line rental was £15!)

sunjivas,

Just worked out my bill, my average is 15.43 over the last 12 months. Just spoke to O2 who are happy to keep my tarrif at £10 pm for 500 text 500 mins but they want £179.99 for the phone!!!!

I've taken my pac code, will call again later and speak to someone else. I never get a good deal when I speak to a bloke, need to get hold of a woman!

End deal:

£10 per month
500 texts
500 Xnet mins

£119.99 for the phone (this seems a lot but when you take into account the £10 phone bills for the next 12 months it works out a £20 per month including the phone).

Due to my average bill last year being £15 there was no way they would do the phone FOC.

I'm pretty happy with the deal as it took 40 minutes of negotiation with a nice lady at O2.

m8cky, how did u get the new amendment?

I called o2 last november or sometime around then and got 500 xnet mins, 100 txts, k750i foc for £15 - was quite happy with myself but think i shoulda pushed it more lol. anyway i got a while til i call in november and by that time i reckon they shud be fine with giving k800 FOC anyway. my monthly bill will be around £16.

anyway, just wanted to know if u've got any cool new tactics to try with o2 lol.

cheers.
