no slowdown of anything, no lag

BUT there is something wrong, I dont know but it is, maybe its because of my phone or the Firmware which I have... I got R1N035

I can put as much music on it as I want, but when unplugged from the USB cable it automaticly delete's a lot of mp3's... I copied almost 550 mb on it and after unplugging it only showed me 250 or something...

very strange
anyone else who noticed something like that ?

slead, thanks for the reply....but still no use.

When i highlight the disk letter no x appears, i am not imagining this....there simply is no 'x'' for me to press

I am clicking on the 'I' icon (removable disk I) under the volume field, with both the left and right buttons.
The only things added when i click on the 'I' icon are:
Open and explore icons....there is no 'x' icon, it did pop up once, but then it dissapeared again.

I know its a pain, but can someone please tell me Exactly where i should be clicking for this magical X to appear???

I have just done this for a Sony Mem Stick Pro Duo 512mb. I deleted the partition and create a new one in Disk Manager. The mem stick now shows as 933mb. Am just sending a 700mb file to phone to see if it has really worked.

Edit: Yup it has worked transferred the 700mb file and still have 233 mb left. SWEET!

I guess you're not the computer admin.
It might be the case.

i guess i should answer why there is a hidden partition on ur flash memory guys
its like this with most of the regular/standard size ones

That hidden partition u see is a recovery system
whatever you put on ur memorystick is actually cloned to the hidden partition
so if u accidently delete your files
u can still recover it
but can only recover under one condition
u do not throw anything new into the card
its a recovery system!

yea I got it now... its a bug in the firmware R1NO35... which has problems managing 1 gig cards... at least that what I think, because the w800i of my brother works fine with the 1 gig card...

From "Microsoft Management console" help file:

Notes:

  • To open Computer Management, click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Computer Management.

  • You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings might also prevent you from completing this procedure.

  • You cannot delete the system volume, boot volume, or any volume that contains the active paging file or crash dump (memory dump).

  • You cannot delete an extended partition unless the extended partition is empty.

  • All the logical drives in an extended partition be deleted before you can delete the extended partition.

I am experiencing, very high problems, after putting files over 468MB in my converted 1GB card, the mp3's r gone, they r automatically erased.

MP3's r corrupted, even photos and ringtones r corrupted.

So I formatted my card back to 512MB thru mobile and everything is fine now.

I do not recommend this to anyone else.

Please dont try this, u could blow up ur card.

At first this is excitement, but when u put over 468MB and put ur card in cell and access files, everything will b corrupted of some will b deleated.
After putting over 468MB, make a new folder in mp3 folder and see whats inside it, u will find garbage files, which wont get deleted.

Formatting many times ur card will make it old and less reliable and its life will come down.

Anyway Sandisk gives 5yr warranty on all its MSD Pros.

So try and get exited then if u face problems, go back to normal mode.

Still I dont recon it to anyone.
