Star Wars Episode 3 Viewers Opinions |

Ok. I've seen it. What I saw on the screen last monday totally blew me away.
While I haven't formed a complete opinion of the film, I can say that although this film is better than episodes 1 & 2, it still doesn't have the magic of the originals. I think that is mainly down to 3 factors. The newness of star wars films back then, the innocence of our youth and the times we lived in. I'm sure an eight year old kid will find episode 1 just as enthralling as an eight year old did episode 4 back in 77.
I will form a more solid opinion by the weekend, untill then i'd like hear from others who have seen it
Your opinions please!
Well, after watcing it 4 times I can finally say that I am very sad for star wars to come to an end. I thoroughly enjoyed ROTS and think it links the OT very well. It's not perfect, not by a long shot (that's reserved for TESB), I still think Lucas should have left the whole concept of the Force alone and kept it a mystery instead of introducing the whole 'Midichlorian' crap. The lightsabre duels were underwhelming and some of the CGI effects were a bit off. Also the whole giving the Trade Federation droids personality just didn't sit well with me. What I liked; the music score was to die for, perhaps the best of the 6. Ian Mcdiarmid was on top form. The scenery and editing was top. My favourite scenes were when Anakin was waiting in jedi council chambers and Padme was in her apartment staring out across the Coruscant skyline and it was intercutting between the two. And I have to admit that the last shot almost bought a tear to my eye. Overall better than Eps I and II but still some way off 4/5/6. I suppose i'm finding it hard to move on after being a hardcore fan for over 12 years now. I feel like Luke in ROTJ after Yoda passsed away.

***SPOILERS INSIDE***
Ok, Its probably IMO the best of the 6. It ends almost perfectly, every thing is explained, all questions anwered. Gotta hand one ot ol'George on this one.
My favourite scene? Not any one scene is my favourite, I liked....nah, LOVED the fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin, it made the yoda fight in AOTC look like a friendly gentlemen's duel. . Then i particularly liked the way the yoda vs. palpatine fight was, it was everything i expected of it, and more. Somehow i think, in the starting of the movie, Dooku died too easily. And Grevious too. And how was it that Windu beat Palpatine? (It occoured to me that that could have been a plot to turn anakin to the dark side).
The really cool part of the movie is the ending. When they explain how luke and leia reach where they are, and how the death star came to be. Oh, and the force storm that vader throws when he heas that he killed padme, was cool too. Every thing around them totally disintigerated, and even the emperor had to cringe to have himself.
What still amazes me is how this movie so perfectly blend in with Ep4: A new hope. I somehow alweays felt that the prequel trilogy will never fully intigrate with the original trilogy, because of the wide difference between the visual effects and for many other reasons. But now I stand corrected. One can watch all 6 movies in continuation, (Dont try it. You'll prolly get RSI or something .) and not feel the transition between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy.
OOooh, and another thing: I loved the return of the Wookies and Chewbacca, and their home word of Rwoorkoo . Totally amazing.
One Final Word: If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out on some serious shit. Its one phenomenal movie, my favourite of the 6.
