Hi masseur...

Can you confirm if the Jasjar has a standard 3.5mm headphone socket or a 2.5mm one. How is the music playback ? Just like other PPC phones or did you notice anything different.

@ac, yeah the JasJar has the standard 3.5mm socket, not the 2.5mm found on the JAM. Sounds is pretty good through the stereo speakers (one on each side when looking at it closed and flat) but to be honest I mostly listen to music or watch music videos using a headset

@Wuz, 30th September is the latest date on Expansys

I understand that but is sound/music quality through headphones just like other PPC phones or would you rate it as better than, say, the Jam... I remember you writing that you have the MDR EX71 SL phones... would you rate the sound at par with the W800...

Hi Masseur,
Do you have your jam yet? I have tried Orange for the SVP M5000 and they dont have it yet. So just curious if you are indeed thinking possibly of still selling your Jas-Jar?

@ac, I'd say the headset sound quality is much like other PDA's I've used, in general very good but very dependant on the quality of the music you're playing. I definitly prefer listening to the JasJar on the Sony headphones than I did the W800 with the standard headphones but with an adaptor the w800 sounded pretty good through the sony headphones. I guess my hearing isn't especially good so I'm not the best to ask, especially as I tend to record most of my music for phone playing at 64kbit or 128kbit so I can get as much on as possible.

@irfan, I mentioned a couple of posts back that expansys won't have the k-jam until 30th September and I really can't say if I'll sell the JasJar until I have the k-jam in my hand. watch this space
