In November 2004 Siemens announced the "Siemens Design Challenge" - a competition for best new mobile phone design. The goal of the competition was for designers and students to come up with the mobile phone of the future, both in terms of form and function.
The winning submission was a phone consisting of two finger rings, one ring for listening and one for speaking, designed by Jimmy Jeppson.
Only last week i told you about the World's First bluetooth Phone Glove. Which works on the same thumb finger position phone principle.
Other concept design entries.

I can't recall ever seeing this design in any film but i maybe wrong of course...However its a very clever design but i can't really see this being successfull, more of a gimmick i think.
