 my guess is it would be   internals covered by a sony shell.

i find it very ugly in my eyes.
 and yes it looks like the person is holding a 6280.
 
 i think Sony is telling SE to go to hell, that they can do it better. a very nice X-mas gift from Sony in my eyes.

the problem is that sony wants to reach more audiance[more audiance more money)(not only sony ericsson users) the problem till today is that most of se handsets don't work that great with other brands

This looks more like a fuglier version of Ericsson's original HBH-10... complete with charging cradle and ultra thin earhook... only difference is, the HBH-10 looked so much more refined and elegant...specially on Lara Croft!
