hey! thats an aussie site!

I think I might have been a bit premature getting the SP3i as I have been reading much more about the jam and its actually not that much bigger

SP3i 107.5mm(L) x 44.5mm(W) x 18mm(T)
jam 108mm(L) x 58mm(W) x 18.1mm(T)

but because it doesn't have a keypad it has a bigger display 2.8" and sports a 1.3 megapixel camera

think I will have to get a jam when they are available so I can decide

How is the joystick on the SP3i? Lots of people on the Expansys support forum are reporting problems with it. It's making me reconsider if I really want to get that phone since the main reason why I originally wanted it is because of its nicer joystick.

my joystick is fine. I have been reading those expansys joystick threads and therefore keeping a close watch on mine and even though I have been hammering the SPV space invaders game its still working perfectly fine (fingers crossed!)

People will always find something to complain about

I'm considering ditching the SP3i idea and going for the sp3 in it's Orange C500 shell, as they are now selling it on Pay&go for £140 - which is much better than £290 for what is pretty much a similar phone.

@simon the sp3 (typhoon) is the same inside as the sp3i (feeler)..so only the design differ (and maybe the sw a bit, but not too much). In a email from imate the price of the sp3i was lower with 50$ than the sp3's..

masseur regarding to your post on expansys about wap pages.

The wap sites that you'd visited are dynamic, so the page redirection is done according to your browser user agent (the sp3i user agent is smth starting with Mozilla[...]MSIE[...] ).

So those sites detects your phone's browser as a normal version of Internet Explorer

It will be nice to be able to edit the User Agent string..
For eg, if you use "I-mateSP3i" as a user agent string the wap sites will not redirect you to the "normal" (WEB) site.
I think there are browsers that let you to change the user agent (on S60 there is Netfront 3.0 that allow you this)... or maybe it can be changed too in PocketIE via editing the config file?? donno, find, view, try...
