my ps2 is all messed up.it doesnt read and cd or dvd.i guess the lens power is the prob . it was giving some problem but then i opened it and changed the lens height .now it doesnt read anything.but i am still happy coz its been with me for almost 3 yrs.i will get it repaired and again play those fantastic games which other console owners can only think off or they get hands on the game when the sequel of the game is ready for release on ps2 or even released.

Are you sure?

Well hope it still there, somewhere. As long as it is always on like on the old ps2.

Prob is all DVD drives players have a life span of 3 to 4 years then the lazer just burns out or has prob reading cd's or dvd's depending on how much you using them.

Thats why there cheep now cos of that.

Also its best to never tutch the dvd lence with anything but if you have to, to lightly tutch it if it realy neads cleeing as lence sits on a realy light spring and if you move lence with alittle foce then you can damage it making lence lazer not level with reading dvd's which it wornt read anything at all cos lazers off balance.

Just be care full and dvd drives wornt last forever even if you look after them.
