We S700 owners have buckets of cash remember; a few more pennies won't matter.

Likely reason is that Sony can't make a Memory Stick card as small as the Mini-SD card. Smaller card probably means smaller phone... |

I agree. SE can only make their phones so small if it has MS support. With the use of SD cards, SE can make higher end phones, with greater flash storage at a compact design. |

i agree that se can make smaller phones with the sd cards , but my dilamma is that i own a cybershot camera and soon a p910i( and when something betters comes along from se probably that) .
what i mean to say is i only need 1 type of recordmedia but if they switch to more formats , i have to buy others to instead of switching them between camera and phone
proud owner of a 800i , 200i , p910i + route 66 mobile 2006 and a hbh-600 , gave my k800i to my girl ( enjoying my new WII and DS lite ) |

I sill like the fact that SE is using MS Duo. IMost of my stuff are sony and its too convenient for me. When I run out of memory from my Digital Camera or my Video camera, I always borrow the ones from my phone. And also, after doing stuff with my phones, camera, and other stuff, I can just plug it in easily to my laptop. I think MS has an ecde except for the price. But then again, the prices of MS has gone down alot to almost comparable to SD. Sony MS is a bit expensive but Sandisk is always there. |

@O2
SD in this case, is Sandisk, who make memory sticks (and other storage media). The short answer is yes, it's just like a Sony MS Pro Duo but cheaper!

Probably Sony would make a memory stick adapter for the MMC |
