@acarlos1000
sideline a bit.
there is a new softw from symbianware called PowerNotes (not sure whether it is available on UIQ) this one lets u record (and/or type) your appointment/notes. just press a hotkey and go. it has full calendar, repeating alarms and categories. i find this very useful.
only downside, it do not use built in calendar so u cannot sync with your PC.

may not be a total victory for P900 though. P900 still got the problem with size and weight.
look at P800, i believe this is going for about same price as 6600 but then P800 did not do that well.
another example, Siemens SX1 (more advanced with stereo and radio) but did not do well either because of keypad. |

same price? do you mean 6600 going up to p900 price? or p900 droping? it depends on the person...kids/teens(average/slightly gizmoish) will go for the 6600 ANY DAY OF THE WEEK...why? which of those people use the p900s secondary advantage..the PDA stuff? none..as for the p900 users(adults(buisy/buisnessmen/gimzmo guys)) and some gizmo teens(me) and the rare kid(like 4 of em) it fits perfect, so..if the poster is still reading this post, what are YOU? or... What was the kind of person u where thinking about when u posted this?
BTW i PERSONALY think its like comparing apples to oranges..
whats better..350Z or a lincon SVT...same price DIFFRENT kinds of car...

well i am not that interested in a smartphone because its of no use to me...media player and a good camera is all i need so i will stay with my k700i....and even if i ever think of getting a smartphone i will go for a Nokia 9500....its not out yet but still better than any of the Pxxx series.....although i love P900 / P910, these Pxxx series phones have got a class of its own...

you don't know what u r missing.
many people think a smart phone is for "business" use only. it may be true for P900 or MS smartphone.
if u look at the series 60 smartphone (6600/7610), i think many are using it for entertainment, leisure, gaming or just for personal productivity. this is reflected in the many new software being developed for this platform.
for example, isnt it good to hv a dictionary/city map when u go travel or play multi-player game with your friend over BT or play full screen movies, read books or hv your phone automatically take a message or reply when u r not available.
or how about something to create a postcard or edit your picture/video with special effect.
or how about when someone call u the phone add some background noise to your conversation to trick your caller to think u r somewhere which u r not.
these are just some sample what u can do. there are hundreds more.

@mib1800:
Thanks for clearing my doubt, i was actually thinking that a smartphone was build up for "business" class people...although i knew that it has got so many advanced features...but still it will take some time for me to switch over to smart phones. thanks anyways...

Amazing things these internet forums. This is the longest way of saying NO I've ever seen! |

most of the time people cannot accept NO/YES for an answer (eventhough sometimes the answer maybe obvious) when the answer goes against what they think (or hv been led to think) is the truth.
so a forum like this is a good place to go thru the motion to jolt the mind back to the right perspective.
