My Nokia crazy friend says that his 6600 (and similar Nokias) can do everything the P900 can and only sans the touchscreen. Is he true? What are the features the P900 can boast over the 6600 and the likes. I dunno what to say to him. I thought It's better to consult you guys!

The 6600 is a very good phone, far better built in my opinion.

If you want a good phone, the 6600 is for you, but if you want the features of a PDA, then choose the P900.

The 6600 is also far better value for money, much cheaper.

The 6600 may be crap. But my question was, "Can it do most of the things the P900 can?"

Yes it can. It has pop3 email, wap, calender, notepad, internet (with opera), zip files, video, camera. Just missing the touch screen, which for games is better than P8/9.

Just misses MP3's - but u can downoad a player for it

ill try and summarise the points as your on wap
size-p series bigger
battery-p series bigger battery capacity long talk and stand by time
the rest they both have apart from an built in mp3 (6600 can download a free one) touch screen and screen size.
internal memory on p series is 32mb +32mb stick. 6600 has 6 mb and 32mb mmc (but it can accept upto 1gb mmc)
i would guess the processor on the p series is faster ( but i aint got fact and figures)
imo both are great i feel the nokia is more all day everyday were the p series is a bit more mon-fri businness phone. i wouldnt fancy going out on the town to paint it red with a p series but thats just me. plenty of people on here do and dont have a problem
hope this helps

Both the 6600 and the P900 have Intel's Xscale processor if i am right. The P900 has a 150 mhz one. Correct if wrong. Here in India, you can buy two 6600's and a T610 for the price of one P900! The P900's price here compares well to that of an entry-level laptop! Now that's ridiculous isn't it?!

I guess a PDA fone really quite differs from that of a standard one . . . The SE P900 surely is ahead here when making a 'point-to-point' comparison! The Nokia 6600 I guess can't even come close (maybe a little) with that of the SE K700/i model . . .

hmmm....

and feature wise... both are the same then???... 6600 cosat 16k,t610 cost 10k here.. that means p9 will cost..... 42k?(2*n6600*t610?)... which is absurd as p910i costa only 39k? .. is p910i costlier that p900?....

s700 is not even a smartphone. cannot even surf full website or play video full screen.

6600 have much more games (incl. Ngage) and software you can install than P900. if you include this criteria then 6600 definitely have an advantage over P900.
