You cannot upload or retrieve anything FROM the T230. The phone does not support it. |

well I ordered a serialcable (COM port, right?) and when ordering i saw it supported model T230. i ordered it from here:

So today i got the cable and in the back was: "For T28"
And its not working. I tried everything mentioned here until i saw a post saying that cables marked as for T28 dont work on T230. then I was a bit amazed. the website showed it should work on T230, but NO! So there is no chance getting it work on my T230?
please respond ASAP.

Well, the T28 cable works for T230 for unlocking, so the seller wasn't totally lying.

You can disconnect the test pin and re-arrange the 2 voltage pins to make it into a data cable.

well its a bit too complicated for me. no time to mess around with it. i hope i can return it to the seller somehow. but do all the USB sony ericsson datacables work on t230? i think im about to order a new one and here it is:

Yes, I saw somewhere on the web that it was possible to synchonize the phone book, pictures...etc of a t230 using a third party software bundled with its cable, that's not from SE!!! |

The USB cable "should" work but since I am not the seller, I can't guarantee that 
There is no practical way to retrieve pictures from the T230 via cable, even with non-SE program.

Hi guys
First, excuse my poor english  I'm just a frenchy !
I have a T230, I have usb cable and have installed the driver (works good with fma or SE softwares), and want to use my t230 as a modem with a portable computer with Windows XP.
The links for the modem driver I have seen here seems not to be supported by XP...
Do anyone have a solution ?

any SonyEricsson modem driver will work. The closest match is T200

Control Panel -> Phone and Modem Options -> Modems -> Add -> Do Not Detect My Modem -> Have Disk

i wanna ask..is it anyway can make a animation or screensaver on the t230?
also after install the SE T200 PC Modem....go where to connect???how to connect???is it need to configure t230 data com.??or any software need to install to PC to make t230 phone able to connect through internet? |

to connect to internet, set up dial-up networking, using T230(instead of your PC modem). |

hi
I am a little bit confused by the uploading and down loading cause I would like to use my cabel for my phone so that i can put ringtones, games, themes, pictures etc. on the phone is this impossible?
specially because there's software of SE how clames it can download pic's to the t230 (to bad it doesn't work for me right now)
